    The Blue Water Inn and Suites is a prime location in downtown Friday Harbor, just around the corner from the ferry dock!

    The suites are private.

    If you are looking for a comfortable, clean room with a private bathroom, look no further. Leave your vehicle behind for the convenience of exploring on-foot or take a short walk to any of the shuttle or trolley pick up spots! This location is steps away from the delicious restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks that Friday Harbor offers.

    You can relax and watch a movie in your private room with one king bed, a 3/4 (shower, no tub) and porch.

    This is the perfect spot for a solo traveler, couples or a group trip to San Juan Island. Rent a single room or multiple rooms for your experience on San Juan Island.

    *This is a non-smoking building.
    *Not Pet Friendly.
    *This unit is located on the second floor which requires use of approximately 15 stairs. No elevator on site.
    *Smart TV is accessed with your personal login.
    *No laundry on site.
    *No parking on-site.
    *Quiet hours are 10pm to 9am and are strictly enforced.
    *The private room does not have A/C but does have a large fan.

    The internet / Wi-fi at this suite should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was extremely clean, quiet hours were actually respected (rare and appreciated 😂), and somehow we NEVER ran out of hot water. That alone deserves 5 stars.Unfortunately, our trip started with chaos when my husband tore ligaments right before the ferry. He spent the entire weekend moving like an injured pirate, and we even ended up in the Friday Harbor ER for about 3 hours. Not exactly the relaxing start we planned 😂Despite that, the staff were AMAZING. I called asking for an early check-in because of his injury and the woman on the phone was incredibly kind—no hesitation, just immediate help. They also gave us a late checkout, which was a lifesaver since my husband was basically moving through the island like an injured pirate the entire weekend.On checkout day, I met the owner’s brother while packing up. He was so kind, we chatted about the trip, and he even offered to help carry our things down to the car. I declined, but the gesture meant a lot. He also told me to take my time and not stress about checkout at all, which honestly stood out in the best way.Now I DO need to leave one suggestion...Those stairs are a personal attack. 😂Carrying luggage up and down them should qualify as a CrossFit class, and watching my husband try to navigate them with torn ligaments added a level of suspense none of us needed on vacation. So if there’s ever an opportunity for an elevator someday, just know you’d have two very enthusiastic supporters.But honestly, even with the “stair workout,” we had a great stay. Clean, peaceful, welcoming, and run by genuinely kind people who clearly care. We came in unsure about a hostel-style stay and left impressed—and laughing through the chaos.

Great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic location! Easy to get to everything, especially the ferry. Parking was the only challenge, but the property management sent good recommendations. Everything worked really well for us.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. door code to complex did not work well. first two "1" worked fine, but third one was very difficult to get and was frustrating. 2. glass at bathroom sink was found half full with water. Housekeeping needs to check this3. a box of tissues in the room would be nice.4. a chair inside the room would be nice also. Even a simple chair is better than nothing. 5. odor in hallway outside room from open sewer or vent pipe. this is an unmistakable odor that any building professional (such as myself) will be able to identify and will probably take some destructive investigation to find and remedy.
