Nauti upeat näkymät Shenandoah joen ja laakson katettu kivi edessä kuisti. Cliffside mökki sijaitsee aidatulla yksityinen sora ajotieltä, joka on 7 kilometrin päässä Front Royal, VA. Second Time!
Once again…. a wonderful, peaceful time! We brought our dog with us this time and he had a blast! Toured some wineries and just a short drive for some amazing food. Coffee on the porch and outside fires at night are the best. Already booked next year to come back with friends!

Beautiful view!!
We would definately go back. Spent a lot of time on the front porch taking in the view & the sound of the water. The steps down to the river were a bit steep for me but our son had no issues with them, even with water in his waders :-)~ Hubby & him did some fishing each day. The kitchen is pretty well stocked for cooking. Front Royal is a nice little town to visit.

Little Peace of Heaven
This was exactly what the doctor ordered....a very peaceful scenic piece of heaven, all from the front porch. The cabin and grounds were clean and well kept. A deer sighting made it extra special! Would definitely go back for another visit. Communications from John were clear and precise.

Lovely two days!
The view is spectacular! Sitting on the porch watching the sunset and two bald eagles flew by, couldn't have been better. Perfect size two bedroom two bath with a nice dining area and kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with a great selection of pots/pans/dishes. Once we got the ac running, the musty smell got better. The sheets could use a refresh, but everything was comfortable. The kids loved the walk down to the river for a swim. Highly recommend as the location to the local caverns and National Parks was perfect!

Repeat Stay at Cliffside Cabin
Another really lovely stay at this vintage cabin with priceless views. John is a fantastic host with great communication. The cabin is a world away and a peaceful place for relaxation and reflecting on the beauty of nature. Everything was wonderful as usual - thank you!

Amazing Views
We had an incredible stay at this cabin! The views of the river and mountains were simply breathtaking - we spent hours soaking in the stunning scenery from the deck. The cabin itself was exactly as pictured, and we were impressed by how clean and comfortable it was. The hosts have done a great job of creating a cozy and inviting space. The checkin process was also completely straightforward and the instructions provided were very clear. One minor note: we didn’t realize toiletries weren’t provided so had to go out and get some supplies. But otherwise, we highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with amazing views.

Good spot, be clean.
Great property with privacy and wonderful views. A little thrown off gaurd by a bed not made when you arrive and something about fees for using linens. Ive never arrived somewhere with an unmade bed. How many people sleep on it without making it? The fees about linens make me hesitant to use them. Either way bed not made... Im sleeping in it unmade. Book this for the view and property but make sure you never existed there. We had a good time, but be ready to be your own house made if you want to abide by the rules and avoid extra charges come check out.

Rustic-ish in a great location!
Bottom line: A great little cabin with an impressive view in an excellent location that’s minutes from Skyline drive. The Good: Location, 10 minutes from Skyline drive and the national park. 10 minutes to Front Royal, nice little town with anything you might need. The cabin itself has a rustic feel, very cozy and a great view. AC works, no complaints on the basics like water or bathroom. It’s also private, it shares a general area with two other cabins but they are all separated by heavily wooded patches. The best overall thing had to be the porch at sunset. The bad: If you’re sold on what’s above just go ahead and book, this is me being overly critical. The linens could use a refresh, along with the towels. We brought our own but the beds had comforters with no sheets. A few minor touches like updated rugs also wouldn’t hurt. There was no fire wood available upon arrival but we fixed that with a quick trip in to town. 10/10 would book again.

Beautiful view of the river from the front porch. Enjoyed the quiet in the morning watching fly fishermen in their kayaks and even spotting a bald eagle and watching it for awhile. Cabin was nice and beds were comfortable.

Beautiful Property
We loved our stay at the Cliffside Cabin. Property was well-maintained, cabin was pretty clean, and awesome that there was river access a short distance from the cabin. The river access area is definitely swimmable too, which was a huge benefit especially given the hot temps we had. The porch overlooking the River was definitely the best part of our stay. We spent many hours out there in the morning, relaxing after hikes at Shenandoah NP or just to catch the sunset. If you have a dog, there is plenty of walking you can do on the gravel driveways around the property! You definitely get a secluded feel but you are really close to downtown Front Royal where there are restaurants and grocery stores, as well as Skyline Drive / north entrance of the park. I'm really glad I booked this and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to spend a little extra cash to get the breathtaking view and enjoy a more secluded experience.

Secluded Cabin with Gorgeous Views
This cabin reminded me of my grandpas cabin in the Big Horn Mountains. It's rustic and has that old cabin scent. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the back deck. I recommend bringing your own blankets if you get chilly in the evening. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals and the outdoor fire place is great for making smore's.

summer vacation
My husband, chihuahua and I spent last week in Virginia. The second half was at the Cliffside Cabin. Each morning, we had our coffee sitting on the porch admiring the beautiful mountains and river view. The location was perfect for our outings. We hiked trails, explored Front Royal, saw the Caverns and tubed down the Shenandoah River which was so relaxing! If we're back in the area I would definitely stay here again.

First off, the views from the back porch are every bit as spectacular as the listing suggests and are worthy of a five-star review. Unfortunately, that is where the five-star review ends. The pet fee that I was charged was significantly higher than what was listed. I contacted the owner and he stated that if I could show him where it stated the lower fee in the listing he would make it right. I emailed him a screenshot of the listing and never heard back. Upon arrival, the grass had not been mowed and was over a foot tall, making the picnic table unusable. The grill was rusted, missing parts, and full of ashes. We could not find a grill brush on-site but fortunately there was some aluminum foil in the kitchen that we were able to clean the grate with. The carpet in the living room was stained and there were cobwebs all over the ceiling of both bedrooms and the bathroom. The couch is worn-out and uncomfortable. The mattress in the main bedroom is also extremely uncomfortable and caused us both back issues all weekend. The stairs down to the river were one of the draws for us but once you get down them, there is no bank to fish from or set up chairs. Overall, if you want incredible views this is probably as good as you'll do at this price point, but you are sacrificing comfort for those views. If comfort and amenities are important to you then you can do much better for the price.

Beautiful Quaint Cabin
Amazing views and quiet location! We had issues with a storm and a downed tree that caused a power outage. The host was amazingly helpful and spent time getting the power restored for us super quick! Great place to go and unwind! Would definitely go again.

Fabulous Spring Get-away
This was half way for both parties and a wonderful spot for us to catch up and be together. The place was clean, comfortable and the outdoor seating by the fire pit and back portch was wonderful. We spent part of the time at Shenandoah River State Park and the spring flowers were beautiful as was the hiking. It was a wonderful weekend.
