1. Irish Cottage Inn & Suites

Galena

”Overall a good stay and experience. We stayed one night in a suite with a hot tub. The hot tub didn’t hold the water well so had to keep filling but it wasn’t that big of a deal. We ate at Frank ODowd’s pub on Sunday night. It was very packed so we ended up eating at the bar. Food and drinks were good. We liked that we could stay and eat at the same place. Plus the location was nice too.”

”we stayed in room 3 one of the top floor rooms. The view on to route 20 is very nice with three windows. Unusually good. The room was clean and nice. Bed very comfortable. Cute room. Negatives: The shower was poor. Needs a new shower head. The breakfast room is way too small to accommodate any more than about 6 people. I think they gave up the "great room", like they have at Farmers, to make space for more guest rooms. The only entrance is up the back stairs which is no problem in nice weather...

”Carol is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Room and bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable. The front porch and yard were kept nice and inviting. The seasonal Halloween decoration inside the property was outstanding. This was our first time staying in Bed N Breakfast facility so I'd compare with my experiences with Hotels. Though I've chosen their best and only room with balcony, I felt cramped in the room, there wasn't much space around the queen size bed. A 19 inch TV was...

13. Charming 1-bedroom apartment in fabulous Downtown Galena with WiFi, AC

Galenan historiallinen alue

”You can't find a better location if you want to be in the heart of downtown Galena for a reasonable price. The air conditioning is a window unit in the front room, but the host provides plenty of fans. There are two bedrooms, but the first has cut-outs in the upper walls, and the second doesn't have a door right now, so privacy is limited. The living/dining area is very spacious and comfortable.”
