For our family of four, it was a good amount of space. I loved all personal touches and eclectic decor. The location was close to town, but you do have to cross highway 20 to get to town and the traffic is crazy. The beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the maple room. My daughter stayed in the other room and said it was cold. We propped open the door all day before the next night and that helped. I liked all the coffee and tea options but couldn't find coffee cups. The other thing, there is a lot of noise from the highway and train tracks. We did find it a bit disturbing through the night. Overall we enjoyed our stay though and we all liked the uniqueness of the property.

We've stayed here twice and each time has been fantastic. Hosts are very responsive if needed. There was no hot water our first stay and the host had it fixed within a couple of hours, fantastic!They add a lot of homey touches, have little things you may need (scissors, wine opener, coffee pods, first aid kit, paper plates etc). the location is walking distance to Main St. if you're a light sleeper it may be a bit noisy with the train and some traffic, but we weren't bothered by it.100% recommend and would definitely stay again!

We had such a wonderful experience. Host was great at communicating and was so kind to leave a few treats to enhance our stay. The accommodations were very quaint, comfortable and clean and appreciated that they stocked items just in case (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.). Parking was a big plus as was the very close proximity to downtown Galena- easy walk but far enough away from the hustle & bustle. Hope to stay again soon!

Quite the quaint and charming place. Decorated vintage style and is super cute. Went with a friend and we both found the beds to be really comfortable! This is a 2nd story unit. Hosts had individual snacks for us and Kcups for the kuerig machine which was a nice touch! Parking was available right behind unit. Easy to get downtown walking or driving. There is not a full kitchen but a mini refrig, microwave and kuerig machine which was all we needed. We spent the days shopping and going to the Christmas festival. Did an ugly Christmas sweater food tour which was amazing and lots of fun!

Perfect location, in walking distance if downtown Galena. One thing to note, there’s no stove so you’re not going to be able to cook anything. However there’s a small fridge, so you can bring snacks.

The sheets and towels smelled amazing. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable. Loved this place so much! My only thing was the curtain in the bathroom was tied back so the bathroom was exposed to the outside. I could've taken the tie out, but didn't want to mess with it or mess up the curtain. Also, couldn't find and or reach any outdoor lights on the front porch, so it was difficult to navigate at night. We would rent again!

Well appointed 2 bedroom unit with ple ty of amenities. Hairdryer, charging cords, saahampoo, conditioner, first aid kit, personal hygiene items, snacks, blankets, coffee, creamer, sugar, kids area with games, toys, coloring books and card games. 3 separate living areas including a pull out couch. A fully functioning sink was located in the guest room along with a faux wood burning fireplace for ambience. Loads of antiques and charm throughout the home. Perfect location just before the bridge and within walking distance to Main street. Super quaint and lots of room! Would definitely stay here again.

We liked the home. The location was good too. The noise from traffic and trains ruined it for us. It was constant throughout the night. Sleeping was next to impossible with the level of noise.

Perfect Location

Very cozy comfy homey! Loved the location, allowed us to walk to town easily. Beds were comfy and owners thought of everything that travelers might forget about. Will definitely come back!!

The property was nice however it was located right on Hwy 20 and it was very noisy. The window air conditioners ( that were not needed) did not allow the window to be closed and therefore limit the noise.
