Both bedrooms feature direct access to the covered lower-level balcony. Located near popular Karankawa Beach, this property promises a memorable stay chock-full of fun, sun, surf, and sand. Karankawa Beach is a quiet beach that has restricted cars from driving on the beach leaving it tranquil.

Tastefully renovated, this vacation home offers two levels of living space, detailed with charming beach decor, hardwood floors, high ceilings, and modern furnishings. Spend time together in the second-level living area, furnished with two leather sofas, a plush armchair, and a 55-inch TV. Before hitting the beach, prepare a tasty picnic in the modern kitchen equipped with a full suite of appliances. Helpful gadgets include a Keurig machine, blender, and toaster. You’ll also find plenty of dining space. Sip morning coffee at the breakfast nook, keep the chef in your group company at the kitchen bar, and enjoy your meals at the dining table. Extra perks include complimentary WiFi, beach gear, a Pack ‘n Play, and a washer/dryer.

Each floor includes a private balcony with alfresco dining. Cook dinner on the provided grill and savor your meal while enjoying the fantastic weather. An outdoor shower provides a handy spot to rinse off after a sun-soaked day at the beach. Then relax on the breezy porch swing on the ground floor.

Your vacation rental commands a prime location within a quick walk of the glittering Gulf. Spend leisurely afternoons beachside, swimming and soaking up some feel-good Vitamin D. Or spend an exciting day riding water slides at Schlitterbahn -- a 16-minute drive away. To experience a 242-acre amusement park with an aquarium, zipline, and paddlewheel boat, drive 20 minutes to Moody Gardens. You'll also find Seven Seas Grocery and Nate’s West End Restaurant next door.

The main level of this home can only be accessed via a flight of stairs.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice Family Getaway

Overall, the townhouse, beach, and property area clean and quiet. Wild bunnies and toads were spotted each evening out on the grassy, well maintained lawn areas. There's a small grocery store nextdoor, but you do have to drive a ways to get to the Walmart and Target if you need more supplies. Although there are signs posted stating that no motor vehicles are allowed on the beach, there were people driving on the beach. I don't know who's supposed to monitor that, but maybe they need to step up patrols on busy weekends. But we still had a great stay and would recommend this property for your family.

Great location & space

Enjoyed the stay, the walk to the beach is perfect, the house was clean & comfortable. Only downfall is that the tv in the kids room (2 bunkbed room) did not work. It's only a DVD in the tv and it wouldn't even play.

Location Great but Beds/Bedrooms were disappointing!

We were not comfortable on the lower level of the rental where the bedrooms were located because of the uncomfortable soft mattresses and moldy, stinky smell. The floor/subfloor in the master bedroom was scary. Frequently, when we walked across the master, it felt like the floor planks might break and you could hear the subfloor creek. We were comfortable on the main floor where the kitchen, living and breakfast area were located. All toilets were extremely low to the ground. However, the refrigerator was not cool when we arrived and there was an odd message near the temp controls. It said setting changes could take up to 24 hours so we were concerned our food would spoil. Luckily, it cooled down in much less than 24 hours. The proximity to the beach was amazing (8 minute walk) and the beach was clean, peaceful and incredibly enjoyable.

Great location

Great place-ONLY negative: second bedroom is very small. Would be fine for children but beds and room too small for adults. Great view, kitchen/living room was very comfortable. Perfect for family.

We booked the townhouse for five days. The townhouse was beautifully decorated, with every appliance, major inconvenience, etc. available. But… Nowhere in the townhouse ad did they mention it was on a septic tank. We noticed the second day/1st morning… There was a huge puddle of water in the yard below the deck. Turns out it was the septic tank, and it was overflowing. Smelled terrible!. We called guest services every day, sometimes twice a day. Until finally on day three we were told they did not have anything to do with maintenance or septic. They would contact property management. And we never heard another word. None of the TVs would connect with the passwords provided, etc. Service man came out on day two & connected 2 tvs. The master bedroom tv was never connected… even though it’s called daily, service man, never returned. Septic tank was not emptied during our entire stay… We were hesitant/fearful to use the toilets, laundry, dishwasher, showers, etc. normal conveniences and live. For fear that it would back up into the townhouse. The smell was awful! The day before we left the lawn service people showed up and they’re riding mower was Making ruts in the sewage saturated grass. Finally that evening day four of our five the septic company showed up and emptied it.

Needs some TLC and refreshing as well as updating.

The views from deck were nice. Plenty of hot water for showers and laundry even when you want to wash in cold water. The description is deceiving.. Unit is not well maintained. Needs repairs and a deep clean. We killed 2 large roaches, one in kitchen by sink and another in living room by storage closet.. Range is not level and only 2 of 4 burners worked. Pots and pans need to be replaced. Dishwasher never seemed to have hot water. We started it, went out and about, returned 2 hrs later. Lights were still on, cold water standing. Don’t know if they washed, but they did not rinse. We chose “cold tap water” setting on washing machine but it filled with hot water. The shed with beach things had a beach chair, a rusty bag chair and a broken bag chair along with several broken umbrellas and various parts. We purchased 2 bag chairs to have at beach. Prior to our arrival, I sent 2 different emails inquiring about coffee maker but never received answers. Upon arrival, we found several coffee makers but had to weed out which ones were broken and which were operational. There was electric and manual can opener but both were broken. This could be such a nice rental but it comes up short due to lack of attention from management. Freshen the paint, remove broken equipment, replace non-functional appliances, replace range.

National Dance Competition/Birthday Weekend Getaway

We came down to watch one of our daughter’s compete in her National Competition with her drill team which happened to fall the same weekend as our youngest’s daughter’s birthday. The townhome looked exactly like the pictures! Loved the balconies on both floors! Just a short walk to the beach. It was GREAT!!! We hung out most of Friday on the beach only to leave when we got a little rain to have a birthday dinner then back to the beach again after the rain cleared up. Saturday was back and forth to the competition, just a short drive down to the main strip. I really liked this place because of how clean it was, how close to the beach we were, and how you felt like you were on your own private beach because there was hardly anyone there. Close enough to head into town yet out enough you are away from the crowd. Would definitely stay here again!!!

The townhome was perfect for our small family! We loved the location to the beach and the view from the balconies was great! There were a few small things that were less than ideal but nothing was a "deal breaker". The A/C runs very loud! There is no cable in this place. You would need to bring a streaming device like ROKU or Apple TV, something like that. The TV upstairs has Samsung TV but with limited channels. However, for us, this is not a huge deal. Just something to know in case it is a big deal for others. There is a grocery store within walking distance and a little place to eat, All of the main attractions of GI are about a 20-30 minute drive but for those who like peace and quiet like us, this was not an issue. I think with a few little tweaks this place would be even better but I definitely plan to keep the name to stay here again!

The condo unit was nicely updated with great beach accessories in the outside shed for use. Views of the ocean were great considering the condo is behind some houses. Straight shot view from the outside balcony! Very peaceful and enjoyable stay!

Family getaway

The property was just what we needed for an easy family getaway from the north side of Houston. It’s an easy walk to the beach and also to the Seven Seas Grocery when you realize that you’ve forgotten to get something - which is a bonus anytime traveling with small kids!
