Just a short walk from the beach and loaded with awesome on-site amenities, this home is just what your family has been waiting to find for your next vacation! When you're not building sandcastles down at the beach or sightseeing the area, kick back on the spacious living room corner couch to watch your favorite movies and shows on the mounted flatscreen TV. The furnished wraparound deck is a great place to entertain your dinner guests with spectacular views and plenty of space for everyone to move around. Be sure to bring the complimentary beach towels with you when you head down to the beach, come home to spritz away the sand with the outdoor shower, then move inside to get something creative started in the full kitchen.

The kitchen is as beautiful as it is spacious, with stainless steel appliances, gorgeous cookware, and miles of counter space. The kids will love helping from the center prep island's barstool seats, and the dishwasher will knock out all the dirty dishes while you serve everyone up at the glass-top dining table with seating for up to eight guests. The private washer/dryer will take care of everyone's laundry after a hot-weather hike or some fun beachcombing and you'll love how quickly the central AC cools the place down. When it's time to turn in for the night, you'll have five bedrooms to take advantage of and a loft for extra sleepers, so everyone will have plenty of space and privacy during your stay. The first and second rooms both have queen-size beds, the third room has a double futon and a queen, the fourth and fifth rooms have queens as well, and there are double futons in the living room and the loft. The home's high-speed internet and free WiFi make it quick and easy for remote workers and students to complete their projects on time.

This home is located within a short 1-2 minute walk to the beach, so be sure to pack extra sunscreen for your afternoons of sun and sand. Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston is just six miles east, where you'll find attractions like Bahnzai Pipeline, Cliffhanger, and Dragon Blaster. Spend some time at Galveston Island State Park to explore all the birdwatching and hiking trails the area has to offer.

Do Not Stay Here
The pictures are misleading. The pictures are just fuzzy enough to hide the problems Some of the furniture shown is not there. The upstairs balcony is in shambles; broken bar top, broken bench, broken chairs, holes in the wall, old wires and piping sticking out of the wall and broken railing. The AC for that room was ripped out. One refrigerator did not work and the other was missing shelves in the fridge and freezer so you had to pile food in. There was a refrigerator sitting in the driveway area wrapped up but no one showed up to install it. Not sure if it even worked. The inside was dirty when we arrived (roaches and old toe nail clippings). Two futons were broken so we had to buy a bed and two air mattresses. There are houses with actual beach access (this doesn’t have that) close by at comparable prices. DO YOUR RESEARCH! I have pics of all of this. Do not respond with a “we’re sorry your stay was bad”. These were not new issues. The pictures are just fuzzy enough to hide the problems.

Needs some TLC
The upstairs gets above 80 degrees during the day and is very hot. Balcony off the kitchen is missing some railing which makes it dangerous for small children to fall through. Location on the beach is fantastic and easy check-in.

Older home in need of much maintenance.
The pictures make this home look much nicer than it actually is. I would NOT say that this is a good beach home. The house itself it large, but every part of the home is in need of maintenance. The outdoor rails around the porches are held up by only paint. The rest is just rotten. The fridge gave out after our first day onsite. We had to dump a ton of food as it went bad. I would never go back and rent this home. It just needs too much work to get it back to a working property.

House fit our group
We loved watching the sunrise and sunset firm the decks. Enjoyed the close access to the beach. The only negative issue was the electrical outlets in the upstairs bathrooms didn’t work & the bedrooms didn’t have mirrors so that made getting ready a little difficult when you have 7 women in your party. Also a railing on the entry stairs would be really helpful. But we had a wonderful stay.

Read reviews before booking
Positives: The house was spacious and we had plenty of room to sit and visit and eat. Plenty of linens. Kitchen was well stocked. Short walk to the beach. TV in the kitchen was a nice touch. Negatives: The house needs so very much maintenance; it is significantly over priced for condition of the home. Two rooms upstairs have no AC-bring box fans. Upstairs washer doesn’t work. Downstairs washer is off balanced and extremely loud. One of our kids stepped on a nail on the porch-be careful out there as it is in poor condition. The giant cover for the hurricane roll up doors fell down upon our arrival. There were roaches in the upstairs large bathroom. The upstairs toilet flushing mechanism is held together worh a shoelace-toilet won’t flush on its own. One TV is hung on the wall with a coat hanger. Trash cans were all over flowing, trash only runs once a week and it piles up between guests. Downstairs patio was filthy, full of random stuff abandoned by other visitors. Stair cases are very tiny and narrow and steep, not good for elderly visitors. Overall, I am very disappointed with the accommodations for how much money we spent.

Great Location, good size, but significant maintenance is needed.
This house was a great location, and the beach area did not allow for vehicle parking, which was great. The house needed significant maintenance....1) the upstairs washing machine filled with water, but then shut off and did not wash; while the downstairs washing machine's drum was so unbalanced it was very loud. 2) the toilet in the half bath was not secured and rocked when one got up 3) the sink stoppers in two of the bathrooms did not raise and lower at all, we had to pry them open to get the sinks to drain, 4) the downstairs shower had only a dribble of cold water which made for very hot showers, 5)the weather stripping on the exterior doors was ineffective and the breeze came right in, 6) some of the living room/kitchen furniture was in poor condition (a broken kitchen table chair was sitting on the balcony when we arrived), 7)the kitchen utensils/ pans were poor quality and or broken (we had to go to a neighbor to get a working can opener), 8) there was not enough silverware for 14 (thankfully we had brought plastic), 9)the ac was inconsistent(some rooms were hot why others were freezing.

Not quite awesome
The house has a great layout and view, which is what makes writing this review so disappointing - all the things you cannot fix are already awesome, but the things like cleanliness and maintenance need improvement. I’d give the cleaning crew a D-. Several things, including the fridge door handles, cabinet doors, and a soap dispenser had a sticky feel. It calls into question the cleanliness of the whole place. I found some sanitizing spray and wiped everything down myself. There is also dirt (or droppings) collecting in a window seal. I found several pieces of trash including a chick-fil-a box in the fridge, a beer can in the deck bar, a used q-tip on the bathroom floor, and a collection of cardboard and a pail of crap on the deck behind the grill. The grill is GROSS! Glad I wasn’t planning to cookout this trip. There are a few broken items. Most of the blinds are broken. There is a broken chair, and the front doorknob is janky. To add insult, I sent a note to management about these issues upon arrival and got zero response. This is a great party house. It sleeps a lot of people, and there are plenty of bathrooms, but keep the bar low if you are expecting a clean and fully functional house.

Spacious, but needs some maintenance performed.
Very spacious, great potential, but the house needs some maintenance performed on it. All the beds were very hard, would give the cleanliness a 7.5. The upstairs was equipped with a fan and heater, and more than half the windows wouldn’t open for air.
