”My husband and I traveled to Ireland for our honeymoon and chose this inn for a few days of rest and relaxation. The establishment was clean, quiet & peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. Wolfgang was so kind to make us coffee in the morning while he was preparing breakfast for the guests. The inn was a good distance to Galway, Cliffs of Moher, the Atlantic coast. We ate dinner at Russell’s in Doolin, food was incredible. Reservations are suggested. ”

”Athenry was a happy surprise for us and The lodge at Old Barracks was the hub of the town. Breakfast was good. Room was a bit hot, but staff was nice and it was a great location.”

”Staff was rude and mentioned during checkin that heat will be off from 12-6 am. When asked them to give this in writing they said that they told us that if we need heat we need to tell them. This was not true. They never mentioned this during check in. Also the behavior was not really professional. ”

”Great location, lovely room, only downside was the noise from the front door every time someone came in. Our room was next to the front door. Would still recommend and really good value for money ”

”While the accommodation is slightly outside the city centre, this turned out to be a positive - we were able to see parts of Galway while walking which we would never have seen otherwise. The staff are lovely and conscientious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay”

”Excellent and clean with minimal noise despite the construction. The tub was a little deep compared to the bathroom floor but otherwise it was all amazing. The communal areas were clean and the staff was very helpful in calling cabs and assisting the Uber eats guy with finding me lol. There is a bus stop right down the street that will take you into town. ”
