”A super (and well-priced) option on Leisure Isle, with comfy beds, a small kitchenette, a refreshing small pool and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, and cooked fresh to order, and the rooms were made up punctually every day. As with many places in SA, wifi was spotty and not super-fast, but this is no fault of the guesthouse as Leisure Isle is not on the information super-highway! Overall, an excellent choice and certainly excellent value for money in an expensive town. ”

”The initial arrival when we parked in the public parking raised some concerns, however the lovely hotel security lady quickly intervened and directed us to the proper hotel parking, from that point it was fantastic! The room was spotless, big and well appointed. But THE VIEWS!… WOW!!! The hotel certainly lives up to the name! The staff were all brilliant from the moment we arrived to the point we had to sadly check out. We will be back again!!”

”It is a magnificent property with great facilities. Well located enough. But Plattenberg is a plain soulless residential seaside town. No quality in terms of restaurants. The property is closed to shops, cafés and beach (if you don’t mind the very steep hike back). ”

It has not been looked after with dirty old chairs and sunbeds, and unkept pool area and ground There are dogs on site, which came into the food eating area several times. The owner removed them but didn’t control their return. The photos of the room was very misleading in the size..”
