  • The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone offers different dramatic looks and moods dependent on the time of day. The falls are luminous in the morning. In the evening when this photo was taken, the canyon takes on a soft, almost painterly light. If you can, make a visit right after sunrise and return for the sunset.

  • We visited this location but ideally needed to be there in the afternoon as the sun was on the "wrong" side of the arch. I used a wide lens to capture the arch and didn't attempt to correct the distortion as I felt it added to the picture (for me anyway). It took a long time to get this without hoardes of people in the shot.

We had such a great stay!!! Very clean. The house was in a great location near the park entrance. The top patio was a plus so we could watch the elk near by. This place is a return stay for us.

Perfect!

Very comfortable rental located a short distance from Yellowstone. Everything you could possibly need is included. The house has recently been updated and was obviously well cared for. We hope to rent in again in a future trip to Yellowstone.

It was ok

The place is in a prime location just 2 blocks from the entrance to Yellowstone. The primary bathroom was interesting given the soaking tub also has an attached shower. Great but the shower water pools up on the side closest to the wall with no where to go. We also experienced an abundance of gnats in the kitchen everyday.

cool property and great location

LOCATION! Can walk to dinner and the North Arch into Park. The property was nice, had great potential ... great bones. It was not as "finished" as other properties I've stayed in. Finishes (floors, walls, etc) not complete in places. Fridge door opens into the stove. Kitchen was cute...but it would have been tough to prepare daily meals. No coffee but lots of tea. Food in fridge in open containers. Recommend that be removed as I don't know how long it's been in there. Towel on floor when we arrived. No towels in downstairs bathroom. Room & bath upstairs was very nice. Owner was very responsive to questions. Check-in and out was easy. I would stay here again.

Great after a little check in confusion

All in all, everything was great. We were confused at check iin as VRBO had sent the address as unit B when there is no unit B, only A, at this address. Was able to contact the owner and figure it out. Had a bathtub leak that didn't affect our stay. Unit was great, enjoyed our stay.

A great place to stay in Gardiner

My wife and I were really happy with this place. We found it to be clean, spacious, and equipped with all that we needed. There was an air-conditioning unit upstairs, which we found necessary during our stay in August - it worked very well to keep us comfortable through the night. The location is very close to local shops and restaurants, and a good grocery store is only a short drive away. Our stay here was nothing short of excellent, and the owners were helpful and prompt in their communication with us.

Spacious property!

The property is listed for 2-4 but with the loft, it can fit 6 people. We’ve stayed in Gardiner before and prefer staying on the park side of the river which is where this property sits. It’s walkable to restaurants and shopping. You are also close to Roosevelt Arch.

Visiting Yellowstone

Extremely convenient location. Steps to the north gate at Yellowstone. We traveled with our dog and there is a school a block down the road with plenty of lawn to run… and the occasional deer and elk. The house was clean, has two full baths and a washer/dryer. Couldn’t ask for more. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Yellowstone Getaway

My good friend is getting married and we wanted to visit her favorite place for a bachelorette celebration: Yellowstone. The home had everything we needed to rest and relax between our hiking excursions. It was close to the park entrance and walking distance to many wonderful spots in Gardiner too! We had the best time and loved our stay.

Perfect Location

This condo is beautiful inside and out. The yard is fenced—great to allow our dog to roam more freely. The deck is relaxing and offers great views. The location could not be better for exploring Gardiner and Yellowstone.

Great Location!!

We really enjoyed how close we were to the less busy North entrance to Yellowstone during our stay. The bed was comfy and the bathtub was very nice after a long day in the park. The house is fully stocked with everything you need, spices etc…that was convenient. Owner was very responsive and friendly. Only had a few minor issues but the owner was nice about everything. We enjoyed looking at the stars from the deck upstairs in the bedroom.

Fabulous view and steps away from Yellowstone

Excellent communication! Updated flooring and bathrooms. Full kitchen appliances and everything you need for cooking/baking. Restaurants in the area fair (we had been in Jackson Hole so we were spoiled)

Cozy 2 story place

Very cozy 2 story place within walking distance of the school that the elk visit nightly. Friends and I enjoyed staying here and enjoyed cooking meals together in the evening.

Owner was incredibly helpful during an unexpected event

We were staying in Gardiner, MT when major flooding occurred. The community was completely cut off as both roads out of town were impassable. The owner, Alex, kept us informed and was always available until we were able to leave town. The house is very nice but was a little dusty when we arrived but might have been because several windows were open. It is a great location and we could walk to everything in Gardiner. We saw more elk at the school playing fields than we saw in Yellowstone. The deck it is very nice but it was cool and rainy when we were there so we did not use.
