”What a lovely guesthouse! It is spotlessly clean and quiet, and Patricia is a welcoming and gracious host. She prepares wonderful breakfasts each day. I highly recommend Mountain View if you want a Galway-area stay, a bit outside the city.”

”Nice clean rooms. Comfy beds. The toilets are communal but there’s lots of them so we never waited for them. It actually speeded us all up getting ready as we had a toilet each in the morning. Free supplies for breakfast and a fully functioning kitchen. Big car park too. The only negative was the check in process. You collect keys from the bar and there was a party on so we had to wait half an hour for someone to come with the keys ”

”Due to changed flight plans I had to stay an extra night in Dublin and booked a room online from this cute B&B for an overnight stay only. They contacted me proactively the same day to help me with my check-in and (very) late arrival details plus inquire about any breakfast needs (I had none). They were very helpful, very flexible on the phone with my strange arrangement and I was happy to spend a restful night in this establishment. My room was compact and equipped with everything needed. ”Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

”Staff were excellent, had an issue with room heating, health with it quickly and efficiently, no issues. I think it's equally important to rate a hotel not just on how well it runs but also how it handles any issues should they crop up. Would be happy to return on my next visit. ”

”This place is a must-stay for pilgrims to Knock. The staff are very gracious, always making you feel welcome and at-home in the hallways. The front desk is exceptionally helpful in responding to questions, looking up information online, and attending to guests' needs. Thank you for making our first stay in Knock so comfortable and memorable.”

”This hotel was everything I expected, but the grounds were the best part for me. Walked over to the pro shop and rented clubs (sleeve of balls and tees included) and played 9 holes despite a little rain. High tea at the castle was incredible. Staff was great without being pushy.”

”4 night stay. Breakfast staff quite unnatentive. Appear to prioritise coach tour parties to the detriment of independent guests. We stayed here around 4 years ago and it was noticeably better then. Breakfast items and crockery not topped up or replenished.”

”We had a beautiful waterview room. The room was beautiful. I only wish we had more time! The falcon walk with Collin and Mary was more than we hoped for. It is as the book says "one of the thousand things to do before you die". The afternoon tea was delightful. We also had dinner in the Dungeon Room. The front desk did all our reservations before we arrived. We are looking forward to a return trip!”
