Complete accommodation: Apartment in Gemünden, Germany

This charming 90 m2 apartment in the half-timbered house at Gemünden Castle is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation in the countryside. What makes it special is its large, natural garden with a seating area (200 m2). The garden features beautiful old trees and wildflower beds. It is sheltered on the back side by a rubble stone wall that stores the sun’s heat. Air conditioning isn’t necessary in the house. The thick stone walls keep it warm naturally.

The Accommodation
The apartment is located in an old but well-maintained half-timbered house in a historic castle courtyard. Sustainability is very important to us: The apartment is heated ecologically with wood chips. Thanks to the house’s thick rubble stone walls, it stays pleasantly cool in the summer. Electricity comes from the property’s own photovoltaic system. Thanks to the old, meter-thick stone walls, the apartment remains pleasantly cool even during hot summers.

Guest Access
The apartment features a large living room with a TV and a desk; a large master bedroom with a king-size bed; another bedroom with a double bed; a kitchen with direct access to the garden; and a bathroom with a bathtub. The apartment includes a wild garden. The garden is fenced in, though on one side it is only a picket fence.

Additional Important Information
What can you expect in our vacation apartment at Gemünden Castle? Above all, one thing: peace and quiet and the chance to enjoy nature. The health resort of Gemünden—also known as the “Pearl of the Hunsrück”—is idyllically situated at the foot of the Soonwald Forest. From the apartment, you can walk directly—without needing a car—to hiking trails in the forest, a stream, and a pond. It’s a paradise here, especially for children: No cars and plenty of opportunities to play in the courtyard and outdoors.

Children:

We’re happy to provide a travel crib, changing table, high chair, and stroller (the Moon Flac) for 10 euros each per day.

Dogs:

We’re also happy to welcome your dog. We charge 10 euros per day per dog for this. The yard is fenced, though on one side it is only a picket fence.

Bedding and Towels:

We also provide bedding and towels for an additional fee per stay (5 euros per person). Alternatively, you can bring your own linens.

Early check-in or late check-out is available for an additional fee of 50 euros.
