Let me first say the condo itself and the property was lovely. The management (Vacasa), however, was horrific. We arrived shortly after check in to find the second floor condo extremely hot with no A/C on, during the “extreme heat watch” weekend. We attempted to turn the AC unit on with no success, and reached out via phone call and message for assistance. We were met with basic suggestions which made it clear they had no idea how to help us (no, I cannot unplug the ceiling mounted AC unit) and them saying the best they can do is open a ticket to have someone come fix it. They promised they would call us when someone was on the way. We went out to dinner to seek refuge from the heat in a restaurant, and two hours later we had still not heard back. After reaching out again, they said that maintenance had already been there and that the issue has been resolved. Upon returning back to the condo, the windows were still open, it was still 84 degrees in the condo, and the A/C was still off. There was now a note on the counter saying they fixed the air conditioning. But yet again, we could not get the unit to turn on or do literally anything. We reached back out, hoping that it was just user error, and asked if maintenance could either call us to explain how they got it working, or come back out to take another look. We were told they could not do this, and that the best they could do was open another ticket. 2 hours later, maintenance never came or reached out. Unacceptable.
