”The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facility was fairly clean. However, a non-working air conditioning unit on a hot day made it miserable and nearly impossible to sleep. Also discovered our refrigerator wasn’t staying cold either so had to run to the store and buy a cooler and ice to keep our food cold. These are basic things that should be checked regularly and maintained when you are charging money to stay in a room.”

”This was our 2nd stay at the Rice Inn. This room was better as we had a broken chair last visit, there was a stain on the bath (looked like a cigarette burn). The bed was in better condition and comfy. We liked that the rooms have a fridge and microwave. Since this was our 2nd stay, we came prepared with some food items to heat up and eat. ”Marriott bought this a few months ago, but it has not been renovated yet. The photos were somewhat deceiving. Our stay was fine, but we expecting much more. Breakfast was good, but limited in offerings due to small breakfast area. We stayed four nights and if we wanted housekeeping, we had to ask for it. The view however was quite nice, as all rooms face the Umpqua River.”

”The pillow covers looked like they weren't changed,there was hair on the pillow,on the towel in the bathroom and ice tray was very dirty.The back of the toilet was also dirty. TV didn't work. Other than that it was OK”

”A complete GEM! We stayed in a cabin and it was cute and private and everything we needed. The kitchenette was just a stove top and mini fridge but perfect for a quick lunch pack before we went out on the trails. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and helped us pick wonderful hikes and day trips. We ate dinner one night and it was better than a 5 star restaurant in town. ”It is a beautiful home, the accommodations the best. Nothing could be better. The hosts were wonderful. I highly recommend staying there. I had the Melton room with a sun room and fireplace.”

”They come around and clean the rooms every 3 days unless you want them to clean them sooner. The staff were very friendly and the Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had! What put it over the top was the White Gravy and Biscuits! I have never had that offered anywhere before and it was delicious 😋. While I was there they repaved the parking lot and they did a great job! All in all it was a fantastic place to stay! I will be staying there again every time I'm up that way!”
