Täysin kunnostettu talo sijaitsee kauniilla Beirteach Buí -lahdella, ihana mökki rentoutumiseen mukavuudessa ja rauhassa näkymät lahdelle, kalastusmahdollisuus (kalastusmatkat voi järjestää omistajalle). Lukuisia rantoja tutkittavaksi alueella ja monia reittejä kävelylle tai pyöräilylle ja vuorille kiivetä. Erinomainen paikallinen kalaravintola. Perinteisen musiikin ja veneilyfestivaalin kesäkuukausina.

Breathe taking views
Photographs do not do the views from this property any justice, they were stunning. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which no doubt helped. The house has everything you might need for a 2 week stay and the kitchen was well equipped. The nearest restaurant was a brisk 15 minute walk which was perfect. Our only issue was that a couple of the mattresses were not as comfortable as we would have liked but it didn't hamper our stay and would not stop me from recommending this house for a family get-a-way for anyone else. The owners made us feel very welcome.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dépaysant et paisible . Très belle vue du gîte . John est toujours disponible et il est très à l écoute de ses hôtes. Nous avons été pêchés les crabes et araignées de mer ! Le gîte était parfait avec tout le confort .

Gite superbement positionné pour une découverte de la région. Situé tout au bord de l’océan, c'est très agréable et avons profité d'une vue superbe toute la durée du séjour. Avons pu nous rendre sans difficulté aux 4 coins du pays et apprécier les différents paysages qui composent cette belle contrée. Je le recommande sans hésitation.

Highly Recommended for families or smaller groups
I had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The cottage has all you need like home from home. It is located just a few metres from the sea with the Connemara mountains in the distance. Its idea for exploring the rugged coast, the mountains, the fjord and lochs. With many walks to enjoy. There is a nearby pub that serves great food. John and Mairead are super hosts.John keeps a distant but watchful eye and would be there to help should the need arise. I would recommend for families or smaller group. I spent a month there and was sad to leave. Thank you John it was a pleasure to have met you and to stay at your wonderful cottage.

A perfect place to stay
The home was just as described and the owners are absolutely delightful and helpful. The location is beautiful with easy access to so many points of interest. I can’t recommend this home enough. Our only complaint was not being able to stay longer.

Great location
The house is well situated for exploring the area. You've got the mountains of Connemara, the attractive coastline with many beaches, the Aran Islands off the coast reachable by ferry, the city of Galway, and further afield many other places to visit. The hosts are very helpful and provide everything that's needed in the house. All one needs is fine weather which we mostly had. Highly recommended.

Wir verbrachten hier eine wunderbare Zeit vom 07.09.-16.09.2023.Es wurden alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt und noch übertroffen. Das Haus ist Hell, super ausgestattet und lässt keine wünsche offen. Abgerundet wird das Haus von Vermieter John`s Frau. Liebevoll dekoriert im Innenbereich und mit den vielen Blumen im Außenbereich. Die Vermieter sind sehr, sehr nett, immer bemüht alle wünsche zu erfüllen. Ein absoluter Traum... So sieht ein perfekter Urlaub aus/This is what a perfect vacation looks like.

The water views overlooking the bay & the12 Bens were stunning as they changed throughout the day--drizzle, wreathed clouds, and rainbows all at once. Overwhelming beauty. Conamara offers so many opportunities for adventuring: hiking, mountain climbing, sight-seeing, and eating (Killary Harbor mussels, & seafood chowders are a must). The 5-bedroom 3-bath house handled our flow of guests perfectly. Our hosts were generous and welcoming to a fault and were there when we needed them. The best 6-week vacation we have ever had over 30 years! The hosts were over-the-top solicitous.

Wunderbare Cottage mit noch netteren, hilfsbereiten Vermietern, schön am Meer gelegen, sehr schön individuell eingerichtet, zu 8 mit 4 Schlafzimmer und 3 Badezimmer, einer großen Essküche und einem gemütlichen Wohnzimmer mit Torfofen und Glasfront zum Meer einfach perfekt für Irlandfans, völlig unkomplizierte Übergabe(„Schlüssel steckt“), sehr sauber und ordentlich! Absolut zum Empfehlen!

Einfach toll
Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Ein schönes Haus und eine schöne Umgebung. Nur etwas weit zum einkaufen und zu weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber dafür ruhig. Schöne Umgebung für Motorrad fahren. Was uns aber alle begeistert hat, war die Natur und die Menschen. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen.

Wonderful stay at the McDonough House in Glynsk
This property was just as described. Well equipped, clean and a beautiful view of the 12 Pins and bay. The host John was so helpful and promptly answered any questions. Easy check in and lovely home. It was a great area, nice local pub about 5 minutes away, and the Glynsk cottage restaurant was at the end of the road. It is a bit remote as most of Connemara is, but the landscape is beautiful and we were with an hour to Rossaveel ferry to Aran Islands, and less Kylemore Abbey and Clifden. Highly recommend and hopefully will return again to The wonderful McDonough House.

Das Haus ist super. Sehr sauber und in toller Lage. Wir dachten, dass wir am falschen Haus wären. Es ist groß, hell und wunderschön. Die Vermieter sind sehr nette Leute. Es gibt 2 Kamine und ausreichend Torf. Wir können nur die allerbeste Bewertung abgeben. Das Wichtigste für uns waren allerdings die Matratzen. Hier gibt es nichts zu meckern. Alles top.

The house is very comfortable, everything you need is provided, it is very quiet and the view from the living room is wonderfull. The owners are very kind. There is a lot of areas to visit not far from the house and incredible walks. We spent a fantastic week.

All we need
In order to my 60. Birthday i asked my children if they want to make holiday with me on ireland. So we started last year to search a house for 5 adults and three childs up to 13 years. We saw pictures from this cottage and we booked it. For three families the house was perfect, the bathrooms are great, enough dishes, garden, water The owner and his wife came to ask if all it good, we talked a while and he told us the history of the cottage. It was a good week for all of us
