Chalet't – Gloversville

”A cozy little cabin in the Adirondacks! It was a great base for our explorations, and a lovely place to rest when we weren't adventuring! The wooden ADK chairs on the sunny porch and relaxing hammock were favorite spots! Touches like having games, walking sticks, and even a guitar available made it feel like home. Our host was responsive with communication, and all the information and suggestions throughout were very thoughtful. Will keep this on our list of favorites!”

”Another absolutely wonderful trip to Great Sacandaga Lake. Been to a few spots there now. This one is deferentially one of the best. Great views of and easy access to the lake. Nice dock. Boat launch 1/2 mile away. House is laid out nice. Easy to unload vehicles just a few steps away from the back door, no climbing up or down hills to unload. Brent is a awesome host, responds quickly. Be sure to check back here soon when he add pictures of the new lower level renovations and opens it...

”The hotel has a nice restaurant, bar area and outside firepit area. Everything seemed clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I booked a room with two double beds via Expedia and received a confirmation back that the room had two double beds. When I called the hotel, however, they said there were no rooms with two double beds and instead the room had one double bed and pull-out couch with could serve as another bed if needed. I said that is not what I booked...

”The hotel is unique inside and out. I can only imagine the difficulties maintaining a building of this age. The room was clean, but typical of any hotel, not really special. There was a cigarette burn in the blanket. There was a little water damage next to the shower. There were zero amenities. They have a beautiful dining room that apparently only gets used for special events. There was no restaurant, no place to eat inside. They have two beautiful spaces that could be used for a happy...

”Clean up after your dogs! Don’t ruin traveling for the rest of us.”

”The first disappointment was how close by the road was.It makes sense for an old hotel, but I found the constant noise and traffic unpleasant and certainly for sitting on the verandah. Also no breakfast is served which is mentioned on website though it definitely was not happening. And lastly I found it tacky to demand a dollar each for drinks in the beverage area.If it costs that much they could incorporate it in the room charge. It just seems unwelcoming”
