She was so nice to us, my wife was pregnant and even let us stay a bit longer whilst we waited for our taxi as she wasn't feeling well. What a lovely human being! ”At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there.”

”I had a really wonderful time at Tabula Rasa. Felt like the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was perfect. The location is stunning. It is worth being located up hill in the peace and quiet, and so easy to pop out in a tuk tuk. The food was really good, I expected to eat out more but, I’d often crave the chef’s dhal! ”Uusi hotelli, isot altaat, mahtavat ruoat ja hyvä palvelu! Myös lapsille riittävästi ruokavaihtoehtoja. Span hoidot kalliita, mutta läheisestä kylästä löytyy edullisempia.”

”Rauhallisella paikalla mäen päällä sijaitseva kaunis hotelli, jonka huoneista upea näköala merelle, läheiselle Jungle Beachille ja Galleen. Vain muutamia huoneita, joten tunnelma on intiimi ja kattoterassilla/altaalla ei koskaan ruuhkaa. Söimme aamiaisen lisäksi useamman kerran hotellin ravintolassa ja pidimme kovasti. Ainoa miinusmerkkinen asia liittyy syrjäiseen sijaintiin. Iltaisin olisi ollut kiva käydä vielä kävelyllä, mutta pimeällä hotellilta oli vaikea liikkua jalkaisin mihinkään. Aina...

”Lovely place! Staff was amazing, so helpful and kind. Room was very clean and nice. Breakfast super delicious. And the hotel’s puppy was very cute! All in all easily best place to stay in Hikkaduwa! ”

”First room we stayed at was on the ground floor next to the restaurant. The room was noisy and not in good condition. After staying up the first night because of the noise, we got to stay another room that was a bit better and quieter with a nice view, but ac was leaking water to our floor quite a bit. Airport pick-up was late and we got blamed for 'not being at the right place', even though there was only one place where we could be: the arrivals hall. Overall ok service.”

”One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at (and we travel a lot!). Definitely recommend the room with the private plunge pool (which includes your own personal butler). INCREDIBLE view to wake up to in the morning and you won't regret it! Also the restaurant is so good, we ate every single meal there and couldn't get enough of the food. They made excellent local Sri Lankan dishes with so much flavor and spa. Spa services were also excellent! We will definitely be coming back!”

”Rauhallinen hotelli. Ei kuitenkaan ole mikään luxus hotelli. Hotelli saisi huomattavasti paremman arvostelun jos kiinteistöstä pidettäisiin parempi huoli esim. vesisateella vettä tuli ikkunoiden tiivisteistä läpi niin että lammikkoja oli käytävällä. Parvekkeita ei pestä säännöllisesti. Mutta kuitenkin ihan viihtyisä ja hyväkin hotelli.”
