”There are no glaring negatives to this property for us. The room was smaller than expected, but the bathroom was large. The staff seemed easily distracted. When we checked in the staff seemed to be in need of a big cup of coffee. When we were trying to check out the man was on his cell phone. ”My remote for the tv did not work, I asked them to get one from an empty room and they said they can’t do that because if someone booked it that person wouldn’t have a remote. I said I’m here and I don’t have one??? Like wth?? The fire alarm went off falsely early in the morning long before we were planning to get up!! This place sucks!!”

”Thank goodness the room floors are hardwood because the carpet in the hallways was badly stained everywhere and not well maintained. The staff was nice/friendly but I would likely pay a bit more just to stay in a place that is much cleaner.”

”This was the second time this year that we stayed at the Essenhaus. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet! Check-in was fast and the staff here is friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the hot breakfast but wish they had granola to go along with the yogurt. We highly recommend The Essenhaus!”
