The hotel is located near the airport, and the taxi fare from the airport is around 16€. Nice hiking possibilities and the town is charming. The room was nice size.
Unfortunately, the Expedia VIP upgrade was denied due to the hotel being fully booked, which was understandable due to the holiday season.
Now, onto the awful stuff. The room was not cleaned properly. The bathroom was littered with hairs from previous guests. The toothbrush glasses were really filthy. I don’t understand why the cleaner visited daily if no cleaning was happening. Countertops or floors were not wiped. All the stains and dirt remained even after the cleaner's visit.
The room was very noisy (pack earplugs if you are a light sleeper).
The spa was a joke. I had a booking, but there was no one at the reception at the time. Luckily, a friendly lifeguard from the pool provided me with a towel and locker key. I was really looking forward to the sauna shown in the pictures, but it turned out to be a stock photo and not the actual sauna. The real sauna had crumbling wooden seats and lacked a water bucket to throw water on the stones. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, and ants or termites were running all over.
The fine dining restaurant had friendly staff.
