Family time on the lake! Wait till you see the view, from sunrise to afternoon swims or just relaxing to enjoy life on the lake; the Lazy Days Lakefront Retreat offers everything you want for a "Lake Life" getaway for up to six guests at historic Lake Granbury. You get the entire home, which is in the main part of the lake, not a canal. There is also covered parking for two vehicles, and Coast Guard-approved life jackets are supplied.
It has a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, two full bathrooms, two bedrooms, a work area, and a large common area with a sleeper sofa for two. As you can see from the photos, the kitchen is fully supplied. The exact pots, pans, dishes, supplies, etc., can vary, but I'll always keep everything fully supplied.
The lakefront view is what makes Lazy Days Lakefront Retreat unique. One step out onto the back patio gives you a priceless view of Lake Granbury in your backyard. The view of Lake Granbury is as enjoyable for your morning coffee as it is for an afternoon happy hour.
There are 12 life jackets to use at your own risk. They are all Coast Guard-approved and range from youth to adult sizes. We also have a corn hole game and other games to use.
The spacious main bedroom has a king bed, a full closet, and a sunroom. The secondary bedroom has two twin beds (that can easily be pushed together to make a king), with both full bathrooms just steps away from each other. Two more can sleep on a pull-out sofa bed in the living room.
Both bedrooms have windows with a full view of the lake. Sheets, towels, and full bathroom amenities are supplied for all the beds and bathrooms.
If you have a boat, bring it along. Full access to the 9-by-24-foot dock, equipped with a new motorized lift, is provided. If boating is not your thing, climb down the ladder at the end of the dock and float or swim in the lake. Or pull up a chair and enjoy an afternoon with a fishing pole. A neighborhood boat ramp is nearby, and the house has covered parking for two and street parking.
A full-sized kitchen has pots, pans, dishes, a K-Cup coffee maker, mugs, wine glasses, and drinking glasses. It has a full-sized refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and oven. Outside is a charcoal grill and fire pit, so bring charcoal and firewood. A table for four is in the dining area, along with two barstools on the bar countertop. Outside is a seating area and a dining area for six.
The house has a full washer and dryer, WIFI access, and a flat-screen TV equipped with an Amazon FireStick. You can log in to your own streaming accounts to watch TV and movies.
Historic Downtown Granbury, founded in the 1860s, is a short car ride away. There, you can dine at many local establishments or enjoy walking around the town square, which prides itself on being the town "Where Texas History Lives." Granbury was founded in the 1860s, and most buildings in the Historic District were built in the late 1800s.
The town's historic square, lined by historic landmarks, makes for excellent shopping, and there are plenty of mom-and-pop restaurants to choose from when it comes time to relax and refuel.
For the past several years, USA Today has voted Granbury, Texas, one of the Best Historic Small Towns in the USA.
Granbury is home to the most historic courthouse square in Texas, and it attracts visitors for more than a few reasons. Experience boutique and specialty shopping in more than 40 one-of-a-kind stores in historic buildings around the Historic Granbury Square. You will also find a dozen restaurants and eateries while experiencing the Square.
Granbury prides itself on preserving the historic charm and authentic Texas experience of the Historic Granbury Square.
The charming town of Granbury frequently appears on "best small town" lists; after you see it, you'll understand. The beach at Lake Granbury offers a way to cool off on hot Texas afternoons, and there's even a family-friendly boardwalk.
My home is also just twenty minutes from Dinosaur Valley State Park and Glen Rose, where you can enjoy rodeos, livestock shows, and more.
