  • Mukava ja hyvin varusteltu, valoisa Michigan-järven lomakoti on kätkeytyneenä viehättäväyn dyyniin kävelyetäisyydellä viehättävästä Grand Havenin keskustasta, MI. Tämä koti on ainutlaatuinen suunnittelun ja sijainnin suhteen.

    Yläkerrassa kolme mattoa, kevyttä ja ilmavaa makuuhuonetta, jokaisessa ikkunat järvellä. Yksi makuuhuone nukkuu jopa 4. Toisessa makuuhuoneessa on parivuode. Kolmannessa makuuhuoneessa, master-sviitissä on queen-size-vuode ja siinä on myös uloskäynti parvekkeelle romanttisille auringonlaskuille. Yläkerrassa on 2 kylpyhuonetta; yksi pääsviitissä ja toinen palvelee muita vieraita.

    Alemmassa kerroksessa on avoin pohjaratkaisu, jossa on tilava olohuone, joka on sisustettu nykyaikaisella, mukavalla tyylillä, ja sisältää suuren taulu-HD-TV: n. Ruokailutila ja täysin varustettu keittiö saarilla ovat avoinna pääasialliselle oleskelutilalle ja ne näyttävät sekä metsäisiltä dyyneiltä pohjoiseen että Michigan-järvestä länteen. Täysi kylpy sijaitsee myös pääkerroksessa.

    Liukusäätimet avautuvat kutsuvaan kalustettuun kannelle. Kannen päässä oleva yksityinen ulkosuihku on hieno hiekkapukujen huuhteluun päivän jälkeen rannalla.

This is our third summer staying at the cottage and we absolutely love it! The beach is a short walk from the front door, all amenities are minutes away, very quiet, clean, and family friendly.

Family Trip

This home is truly a home. It’s welcoming, the host is wonderful, exterior deck and lounge areas are cozy and comfortable, we loved our stay.

Tranquil Getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. A fully apportioned kitchen and thoughtfully decorated living space highlighted this beautiful rental. And that’s saying a lot because the location is second to none! Only a few steps down to the beach or a quick walk in to town or any of the stunning wooded areas that surround this property make for easy access to all that Grand Haven has to offer.

best cabin on the hill

We had a most wonderful week in Grand Haven. The house had everything we needed. The beds were comfy.The beach is a short walk down the hill; and the town is right around the bend. We were a tad bit worried when we found out there was no AC, but we did not need it because of constant breeze. The house is up on the top of the hill, so you will be getting lots of steps in!

Cottage on the dune

Honore’s home was beautifully decorated and full of pleasing art work. The home was well equipped and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for food preparation and storage. The master bedroom is large and comfortable. The three bathrooms were a big plus. You can hear the sound of the lake especially at night. Our favorite thing about the house was the location which is on top of a dune surrounded by trees with partial views of the lake through the other cottages. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the scenery and the breeze. Although there is no air conditioning, we were comfortable due to the many windows, ceiling fans in every room, and breeze off of the lake. We really enjoyed being more connected to the outdoors with the windows open. Honore is an accessible, responsive, and kind host. We felt right at home.

Relaxation in Grand Haven, MI

This was a beautiful home, located among trees, close to the beach. The space was clean and comfortable, there was a nice breeze from the lake, and we saw deer and squirrels in the tree area. The owner couldn't have been nicer or easier to deal with.

Favorite place to stay

Once again we had a wonderful experience at the Virginia house in Grand Haven,MI. The property is beautiful, charming and relaxing. The property owner, Honore is always easy to work with and very welcoming.

Great spot for a lake trip

Overall, great spot for a lake trip! Pros - Honore was very responsive with communicating on specifics with the property and area, and met us upon arrival to walk through the house and gave some recommendations. Home was well appointed, and beautifully decorated. Had tons of extras provided (grill, fire pit, cooking utensils, beach items). Pretty quiet / private area and street for being so close to the beach and a short drive / bike / walk to “town”. Beautiful views, especially from master bedroom balcony. Overall, too many to list! Improvements - To be fair, she recently moved back in the home full time, which changed the home layout some, which wasn’t a huge deal but would have been nice to have known sooner. Also, her home has a lot of artwork in it, which was beautiful, but was somewhat nerve racking with 2 small children. Home seemed to be on a bigger hill than expected, so we had to drive my mom down to the parking lot daily, but I probably just didn’t read the reviews / property info enough. Overall, would still highly recommend, just want to be fair with the pros and cons!

Wedding Weekend

This house was perfect for us during our daughters wedding weekend. Since we were from out of town the house let us feel like we were at home instead of a hotel. Very close to beaches and downtown Grand Haven.

Relaxing Getaway!

This was our second time staying at Virginia Cottage and we loved every minute. The cottage is clean and spacious with many amenities. We loved being able to walk right to the beach, bike into town, and stroll around the neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly and Honore is great to rent from. We will definitely return with our family again!

Awesome cottage!

This was our third time renting this cottage, and it was wonderful! The cottage is cute, clean, right by the beach, and close to town. We had a great family vacation!

Everything you need!

This was a wonderful place for our family of four to stay for two weeks. It has pretty much everything you need -- from giant floats and sand toys, to an ice cream maker, outdoor shower and everything in between. The house was extremely clean and organized -- and plenty of necessities like extra sheets/towels. The house feels like it belongs to an actual person -- things like handmade beautiful quilts, art on every wall, cozy furniture, board games and places to hang out outside. In the midst of summer it does get a bit toasty in there (no ac) but the lake is a quick walk down the hill and it did seem to cool down at night so we survived! This was one of the best places we've rented, ever. The host and her family are amazing - gracious and kind and easily available to offer ideas for good bike rides or bringing us more firewood for the outdoor fire pit. We feel thankful that we found them/this house and hope to go back!

Great House With a Great Location On The Dune

This is my second time renting this house and have to say this is a great place to stay in Grand Haven. It has a great open floorplan for gathering and relaxing after the days’ activities. It is very comfortable and includes all the needed amenities. Its scenic location is at the top of a dune and just a quick walk down steps to the beach and just a couple of miles from downtown Grand Haven. Honore, the owner is very responsive and great to work with. In Grand Haven this is the place I will always rent.

Very nice place.

The house was very nice and comfortable. You could see the lake from the windows as the state Park was just around the corner. It would have been nice to have a few more towels but we just washed the ones we had. The owner was prompt in answering my questions. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway

Very comfortable home for a girl’s getaway! A little difficult carrying luggage from parking space to home because of steps. But, once in the home we enjoyed the views and space. Clean and well stocked.

Home away from home

We had a really great time on our family vacation in GH. The cottage was absolutely perfect, close to town, on the beach, clean, and very nice!

Idyllic location -- Like a tree house on top of the dunes

We loved our week’s stay in this comfortable beach house situated in a unique location atop the first dunes above the Lake. The hillside is lush with trees and with all the windows open, we enjoyed the cool breeze rustling the leaves and cooling the house. The beach is close by and accessible by a few flights of stairs. (Or a quick drive and easy parking at the City Beach if hauling beach equipment.) Note: There are enough stairs to be a challenge for anyone with mobility concerns. A bonus was the discovery of the historic boardwalks through the adjacent Hillside neighborhood. In addition to the great location, the best aspects of this house are its open layout indoors and generous deck outdoors. We appreciated the many art pieces and ceramics throughout the house that made it feel like a welcoming home. The exceptionally well-furnished kitchen is roomy enough for a handful of cooks to be prepping at once. The large tables were perfect for our group to dine together indoors or out, or play card games. I wish I could give this property 4 ½ stars – because it really could be a 5. There were a few maintenance items needing attention. Additionally, all five of us (adults) found the beds to be too soft or sagging for the best sleep. That said, we’d happily stay here if we return to Grand Haven.

Fun 4th of July beach week

Great home for family entertaining. Large comfortable living area and convenient spacious kitchen. The house was equipped with just about everything we needed. We loved sitting on the deck and privacy of location was great. Easy walk down the hill to beach was fabulous (the walk back up was a little tougher!) Our teen boys had a blast, and the third bedroom with extra sleeping space and 3 full bathrooms kept everyone clean and happy. We are an air conditioning loving family, and we did miss the cooler indoor temperatures but our guests didn’t mind at all. We took advantage of the easy commute to downtown, convenient grocery and shopping, and we spent hours at the beach. We had a wonderful week.

beautiful and comfortable.

A perfect place for six of our 17person family reunion, especially for the kids. The swing and hammock were great hits for them. Adults appreciated the tasteful environment and especially Honore's art collection. My architect husband praised the layout which was especially accomodating for large meal gatherings.

Just add sunshine!

The home was perfect for us. Everything we needed was in the house. We loved the proximity to the beach and the patio for Happy Hour. The home is filled with beautiful pieces of pottery - gorgeous.
