”Lovely remote lodge in beautiful area. The room is small, but well appointed. You will lose cell seevice on the gorgeous Gunflint Trail, so make sure you have saved your check in instructions beforehand. Note that many lodges on the trail have restaurants, but not this one, so bring food with you before you arrive. They are last on the trail except a campground, so once you’re here, you’ll need to have everything. I came thinking I might get to see the Milky Way since it’s so remote, but there...

”This cabin was fantastic to unplug and get away for a nice weekend. The hills on the way to cabin were a little more than expected but doable. Pack light and have a buddy to help push the cart. The sauna was amazing and if you shower when you are done the water will be warmed up. We loved every minute. Temps were 40's to 60's and the cabin stayed nice and warm. No issues with the composting toilet, there was plenty of solar power, drinking water, blankets and firewood. Head lamp recommend. We...

”Cabin was just as listed with tons of woods to explore. Everything was great but bring whatever gets rid of flies. They would not stop harassing my dog the second we went outside. Great location in the woods, very quiet and only 9 minutes from grand marais. Would definitely stay there again ”

”Our group of four senior adults (two couples) was delighted with this property. It had everything you'd want for a North Shore getaway: breathtaking lake views from two levels, walking distance to lake shore, short driving distances to shopping, dining, and recreation, well-appointed kitchen, comfortable furniture, two balconies, a grill, and more. A great place to relax and enjoy this splendid part of the country. We hope to return. ”

”Very nice, clean, and bright vacation spot. Enjoyed the wooded secluded location. We made good use of the kitchen. Great location, close to XC ski spots and Grand Marais. We were snowed in (couldn't get back up the driveway) for a bit due to the heavy snow.”
