”The room was dirty, stained/dirty sheets, floor unswept, not washed, bathroom tub surround dirty. Windows to the view were dirty. Hotel was not as pictured in the advertisement. Furniture is outdated and paint is chipping off. Tv came on but no cable or apps worked, nothing to watch.
We were given a second room after complaining about the first one. The second one was better, but the sheets were still very old and the floor need to washing.
Staff were nice and helpful, great view”

I chose the Royal Hotel based on its excellent Google reviews and the owners' thoughtful responses, and it did not disappoint—I enjoyed my stay so much that I've already booked another night for next week.
Baby Rango the toy poodle and Billy Bean the Siamese cat are absolutely adorable, and Carmen is as warm, colourful, and memorable as the hotel itself.”

”We so enjoyed meeting the owners Colin and Justin, we are super fans of their tv shows. We had our dinner at the Bothy, the dish was superb. We also had breakfast and was equally delicious. The room was very tastefully decorated and the bed & towels etc were exceptionally clean. #10 at North Star Suites in Louisbourg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia is not just a hotel it’s an experience. We wanted for nothing.

”We booked 2 rooms and they wanted to split us up and put 1 couple in the basement!! Stay away from the basement! Smelly and dark! We were finally able to get both rooms together which were fine! AC worked well and breakfast was really good! Cigarette butts everywhere outside and a dead mouse in the parking lot! Very disappointed at this Best Western!”

”Sauberes großes Zimmer mit modernem Bad - Hotel lag etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum aber verkehrsgünstig - beim inbegriffenen Frühstücksbuffet gab es viel Plastikmüll( Besteck) und Einweggeschirr und es war kaum ein Sitzplatz für das Frühstück zu finden”
