”Convenient location quite close to Palmer St restaurants and attractions at the harbour. Our room had a kitchenette with utencils, microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc. and there was a laundry machine and a dryer. The Oaks M is located behind the Metropolitan hotel, and is not easy to see from the street. It even features a (fairly typical) gym, which has dumbbells up to 20 kg, though. ”Avoid this place. Dusty dirty rooms, empty toiletries, fridge not working, broken fixtures. Terrible service. Also the advertised free parking is first in first served and there are very few parks - you will likely end up parking on the street.”

”The rooms were very basic, the door was super thin and I could hear everyone walking past, to the elevator all night. The doors weren’t lockable to ensure a safe environment. The lighting in the room was bad, no bedside lamps or lighting to allow relaxation. Only master ceiling lights that were positioned in odd places around the room. The bed sheets were dirty, with marks on top of the bed when I checked in. It was late at night when I arrived so chose not to raise it with staff due to...

”The staff location and facilities at the property and close by make it a comfortable place to enjoy beautiful ocean views with local entertainment and foodaries walking distance. Historic landmarks close by with multi cultural plaques readings and great sense of community. Will stay again. Recommend this place to those of all geners. Young n Old. ”The pictures on the site are misleading. There are probably some units that are More updated than others. I got one that definitely did not match the pictures with very old fashioned. It is partially remodeled but the remodelling has been done hastily and with a very low budget. Old fixtures have been painted over. The lighting is horrible, like in a hospital. On the plus side, perfect location and convenient parking. Also it was clean. It’s passable for a one night stay”
