”Waste of money. The hotel is only fully operational on the weekends. On weekdays, it functions like an Airbnb. This was never mentioned or communicated in advance, even though I spoke with someone on the phone to inquire about bringing my dog. Imagine my surprise to show up to a completely empty hotel. ”The bar was very well stocked and had anything one would want. I was disappointed that this time on Taco Tuesday, they were unable to make me a vegetarian taco like they did last time. I went looking forward to it, and went without dinner. :-/ Luckily, I brought a few snacks. The scones and frittata at breakfast were very nice! Parking is hit or miss. ”Very basic and comfortable place to rest. This motel is on a very busy and loud(SUVs and motorcycles) corner at the gateway to the American River Rec. area. It is a very short stroll to Auburn historic downtown with pubs and excellent restaurants. It was Uber clean with a great shower. Somewhat worn but, again, location was excellent and wonderful helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.”

”The room was dated but clean, bed was not comfortable and for the love of Carl can you please give us more than one pillow that has at least a little integrity? No evelvator so be prepared to take your luggage up stairs. The worst part was we lost power in the middle of the night - not their fault but OOOF! It stayed off all night and all morning. We left very early down a very dark hallway and staircase as there was no way to get coffee or anything. Doubt I would return.”
