I tried to put my daughter's suitcase (closed, standing up) between the bed and the wall on her side and it didn't fit. I couldn't turn around without knocking things over. We had no curtains! ”We absolutely loved our stay at The Orchard House Inn! It was lovely and full of charm and character. Just what one would expect from Freeport, Maine! Our room was very comfortable, charming, and welcoming. The shower was a bit small but adequate. We stayed in the "Downstairs King Bedroom" (we called it the Book Room) and the bed was so comfortable! It was our best night's sleep on the entire trip! The healthy complimentary breakfast was very good, which we enjoyed at one of the picnic...

”The floors were dirty in the bathroom. Bed sheets had what appeared to be stains! Not sure the bedding/ linen was clean. Smelled like mold and so did I and my clothing! People smoking at entrance from the back resturant made me nauseated.and it followed you into the building. Very run down and old!”

”The property was very clean and quiet. The outside parking was ample and the surface had just been re-paved. The room was clean and comfortable, the a/c worked great and we had plenty of hot water with adequate water pressure. Breakfast was simple (bagels, waffle, cereal, eggs/sausage)but adequate. The location was centralized and easy to get in/out of. Felt safe during our stay. No complaints and would re-book here if the need arises.”
