Remontoitu historiallinen Queensland C1898 -koulu, avoin suunnitelma eklektinen sisustus huiman ikkunoineen ja puukatoineen, täydellinen nautinnollinen oleskelu puistossa kuten puistossa. Se sijaitsee kauniin Greens Creek -vuoren mäkillä, vain muutaman kilometrin päässä Gympiestä itään, Tin Can Bay -tien varrella. Yhdyskäytävä tie Rainbow Beachille ja Fraser Islandille.

Isäntinä elämme erillisellä paikan päällä sijaitsevassa historiallisessa Queenslanderissa, alkuperäisessä C1892-opettajan talossa tällä pinta-alaltaan maaseudun kiinteistöllä. The Old Schoolhouse

Well kept historic building with interesting artefacts throughout. Very clean, well presented with the owner taking great pride in its presentation. The owner was very friendly and helpful with an easy check in and out. To note, the building has large windows throughout and lots of light comes in early so a sleep mask would be advised if you want to sleep in.

Like a step back in time - yet modern facilities

The location was lovely, set in a rural area but less than 10 minutes to Gympie. Was well equipped for cooking, included 2 fridges. Property had large verandahs on the north and southern sides. Beds were separated by a partition, so limited privacy when sleeping. Our host was friendly and helpful. If you like the idea of a stay in a dwelling of more than a century in age, this is for you.

Perfect Gympie weekend location

The old school house was the perfect spot for a weekend away. It has a very quirky old school charm and the fire was a perfect addition for the cooler weather. Wonderful unique property

Wonderful stay in the Old Schoolhouse

We were with 2 couples staying in the Schoolhouse for 3 nights. Trish & Colin are very attentive hosts, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is plenty of information in the Schoolhouse about the history, but also a lot of info about all the touristy things to do and see. You can hang out on the verandahs on either side of the house or inside, where the airconditioning and the ceiling fans take proper care of the heat. The kitchen is small, but everything you could possibly want is there. Fresh fruit and eggs were waiting for us and were greatly appreciated. The bedrooms might lack a bit of privacy (all open plan with a low divider between the bedrooms, but open towards the lounge), but the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is accessed from the verandah, which at night might be a bit cumbersome, but plenty of lighting is available. All in all we had a very nice stay and can recommend the property to anyone who is not looking for a standard motel/hotelroom, but looking for local and historical atmosphere.
