A tidy, spacious wide open area greeted us upon entering the house. It is divided into three large areas the kitchen, fireplace, and tv area. We enjoyed all three living spaces. In the kitchen there was plenty of pots and pans to cook with and the beginning spices to create a gourmet meal. The collection of mugs is fantastic with each of us choosing our favorite and the shell and starfish shaped plates fit the sea coast setting. We ate all our meals at the table overlooking the ocean and waves crashing along the beach; beautiful! The fireplace area was great for gathering to play one of the many unique games as well as old time favorites or just to relax and watch the fire with a mug of tea/coffee and a book. The kids enjoyed playing the video games in the tv area and in the evenings we took in a movie. ( just a heads up at times the internet was not always accessible so streaming a movie won't always work but there are plenty of DVDs to choose from). The hot tub was fantastic after a day of hiking whether it be one of the many beaches nearby, the bluff trail starting at the regional park and headed through Sea Ranch, or Salt Point State Park and Fort Ross. All of these we visited. The rooms are a treat too with each having their own distinct ambiance: Asian, African, and Nautical. lastly the location was an easy access back onto highway 1 to start any days excursion. A lovely vacation spot and a hearty thank you to the owners for offering their house as a vacation destination.
