Hof Eckhorst, Baltic Sea Apartment

A warm welcome to Hof Eckhorst, to our comfortable vacation apartments in the countryside. Here, at the narrowest point between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, between Schleswig and Eckernförde, between the Schlei and the Hüttener Berge Nature Park. Country charm, country life, country delights, country children, country landmarks, and beloved countryside show just how beautiful life in the countryside can be. The apartments are individually decorated with themes such as the Baltic Sea, sunshine, and romantic Tuscany. Unwind in front of the wood-burning stove or while enjoying a soothing bath under the starry sky in the spacious bathroom. A separate restroom and a small storage room are also provided. Whether it’s breakfast or sunset, you’ll feel right at home on your own loggia with a magnificent view of our pastures. You’ll meet other guests in our barn hall or the fragrant wellness area with a sauna and a dream bath for two. Enjoy the summer by the lake or find peace and relaxation on the “dreamer’s bench” under the oak tree. You’ll hear the rustling of the leaves, smell the plants, and watch a contented herd of mares. Vacations with your own horse, riding lessons: Would you like to bring your own horse, or ride one of ours? Whether it’s riding lessons or a trail ride through the beautiful countryside, you’re warmly welcome here! Our riding facility offers: a 20 x 60-meter indoor arena, a 50 x 80-meter jumping arena, a 20 x 60-meter outdoor dressage arena, 2 lunging circles, a fenced-in gallop track, small cross-country jumps, and a water crossing. We host training courses and regular events.

Our Horse Breeding: At Hof Eckhorst, we love Hanoverian horses. Our year revolves around the horses. In the spring, the pregnant mares foal in the stables, while others are covered by the stallions either through natural mating or artificial insemination. The grazing season begins in May, and both the foals and the broodmares spend day and night in their pastures. This is also when our competition season begins. The horses that have been broken in over the winter are presented for the first time at events and competitions. This continues through September. Then the horses return to the stables. You’re welcome to experience this with us. We look forward to seeing you!

Ostsee Apartment
The Ostsee Apartment is a vacation rental—barrier-free and decorated primarily in fresh shades of white and blue. The living area features white laminate flooring. Here, you can listen to the crackling of the wood-burning stove or watch the horses through the window. If you’d like some privacy, there are two bedrooms with cozy double beds and separate seating areas. Closets and dressers provide ample storage space. Unwind with a soothing, fragrant bath under the starry sky in the spacious bathroom. A separate restroom and a small storage room complete the apartment.

Whether it’s breakfast or a romantic sunset, you’re sure to feel right at home on your loggia.

The fully equipped kitchen invites you to indulge in a feast. For special meals, we’d be happy to provide you with a fondue set, a raclette grill, or a wok.

Each apartment has an internet connection.

Bed linens and towels are provided.

Bathroom:
The bathroom, featuring a large shower, is also wheelchair-accessible. The large bathtub has a centrally located spout, allowing two people to enjoy a wonderful bath together. You can illuminate an artificial “starry sky” above the bathtub. Built-in cabinets and a toilet round out the amenities.

Programs and Tips: An information folder designed by us is available in every apartment. Here you’ll find important information about nearby attractions, special events, and tips. The sauna area is free every Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We offer massages, medical foot care, manicures, and osteopathic treatments provided by certified specialists right here on-site.
