Great location, great view

Location was excellent. Walking distance to The Hangout and shopping. The view from the balcony was awesome. The pool could have been a bit cleaner, but not too bad. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Great location on the beach

Beach very accessible. They view was amazing. Roomy and comfortable but, wish the furniture was updated. Centrally located for food, shopping and activities.

Condo needs updated

The area was exactly as described, condo its self needs a lot of updates. Sofa and chairs were really stained and the refrigerator racks were rusted and dirty. I always rent from Vrbo and have never been disappointed but this time it was a let down. Overall it was an okay stay.

It was very humid and hot no matter what the AC was set to. Not sure if some humidifiers are needed or what. Since it was spring break it wasn’t bad, but during the summer months I feel like it would be too humid in that particular condo.

Reviewer Comments: We love the location(walking distance to city park).The condo needs a deep cleaning (cabinets and blinds and under the beds, etc)and needs some upgrades(hood over the stove, refrigerator has some rust in the freezer)The washer makes a TERRIBLE noise when it is spinning; I'm surprised our neighbors didn't complain.(sounds like a subway train starting up)

Only a few comments on things that could have gone better. No linens for the couch/bed until I contacted SP twice, the batteries didn't work right in the remote control for the TV(we had to buy batteries) and the toilets were way too low to the ground for folks with knee issues - updated toilets (standard height toilets would have made a great difference). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The ceiling fans & vents were full of dust.underneath the beds have not been cleaned in a very long time.the pits and pans had caked food in some of them.The wall outlets behind the 2nd bedroom is a fire hazard & only one of the plugs work !THE SOFA NEEDS TO BE REPACED,MOST UNCOMFORTABLE ON A POSITIVE NOTEWE had a wonderful time! the beds and pillows were wonderful.the bedspreads need updated many stains on them.

But there are things the owner needs to do to keep people coming back.The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as does the couch. The place needs a really good deep cleaning( blinds, ceiling fans, walls are dusty, floors are marginally clean.) There is bare wiring in the utility closet(this has got to be a fire hazard) Is there a way to vent the dryer other than into the condo itself? We were happy that the washer and dryer and stove hood had been replaced since last year.

Very disappointed

The management company was not very accommodating at all. I reached out that morning cause we had a sick child and was hoping they would work with us in an early check in.. they would not at all.. they said they would call as soon as we could get in, at 4 they were suppose to call with details.. never got a call..I had to call them, from there it got worse, took 45 minutes to get in. Finally got in and the condo had not been swept.. table had paper towel under all the legs holding up evenly, dishwasher still had dirty dishes, the sliding glass door was taped and you could barely open it.. picture below, it was a mess.. very outdated from what you pay for it, you could tell no one lived there or had owners, bare minimums.. not even a blow dryer. I have rented off Vrbo but I would never rent from this management company again! Very disappointed!!!

Reviewer Comments: From the moment we walked in and my wife smelled the smoke and we looked around at the cobwebs, dirty chairs, coffee table with missing glass, we contacted the company and advised that due to my wife's allergies and her grandson's asthma we would be forced to find other arrangements and requested reimbursement. After numerous phone calls and many delays on their part, they informed us they could not assist us since we did not wait around for them to remedy the situation, although we waited two hours.

Family Beach Trip

Location is great - walking distance to The Hangout and the “main strip” right by public access beach and parking. We were only allowed ONE parking spot so we had to park our other family members car in a free public parking a few blocks away - we called to ask for an additional spot and I think there was some misunderstanding- because we didn’t get the spot. It’s fine, just annoying. Our unit was just like the video posted. I will say, they have the glass tables for eating, but also as a coffee table so as a mother with a 1yr old - I was nervous of the glass tables. Also - the washing machine didn’t work properly - I messaged the management, they said they would send maintenance…they never came by. All in all - we would stay again though.

Disappointed.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at these condos since I was 8 years and this year will be my last year. In all my years staying there I have NEVER been charged an additional amount of money after I already paid for my stay (almost a month before the dates) for a parking pass. It has ALWAYS been including in my total I pay before arriving. The front desk lady was absolutely the rudest customer service person I have ever met. She told multiple people while I was in line if they didn't like it they could stay somewhere else. Our room had dirt dishes, pictures knocked off the walls and gnats flying all in the kitchen. I have stayed in many rooms in Island Winds over the years and this one was by far the worst one.

Great location but needs work

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was amazing! Short walk to the restaurants and shops and very short distance from the condo to the beach (which made hauling all our stuff stumper easy!!). However, the condo itself needs a lot of work. It is older, so everything looks dirty and worn out. The ceiling was also falling apart in the kitchen, and when we woke up one morning there was pieces on the ground. We have a 1 year old who puts everything in his mouth, so this was less than ideal. We did not reach out to the owners bc of the short stay, and we do not spend much time in the room to begin with so it wasn’t worth the hassle of getting someone in there to fix it. All this being said, I wouldn’t stay again for the simple fact that everything felt dirty to me and was somewhat falling apart.
