”We spent two nights in a boutique type hotel Volcanes. It was located in the very center of Alajuela. It’s a small family run hotel with a good friendly english speaking staff. Breakfast is served by your order and it certainly is fresh. Rooms are very tidy as all the public areas. You can find rooms for different price categories. We liked it very much. ”

”We spent 2 nights here before heading home. It's only 10 minutes from the aiport, clean, spacious, and access to open air shared kitchen and small atrium separating the other rooms. It was very affordable, and Adriana is an extremely responsive and friendly host. It's a great place to stay for a night of two, especially if you're trip is winding down and you don't want to spend $200 or more at one of airport hotels nearby. ”

”It was my first night after long flight, so I just needed some sleep. which was a bit complicated as the hotel located just under the path of departing planes, means: it was quite noisy from certain time in the morning. Service was very friendly, though. Good breakfast and parking behid the gate (important value in CR!!) ! nb: it is quite had to figure out how to enter the hotel. GPS gives right location, so you need to find the gate and push the bell, but it is a bit busy street to just stop...
