”We wanted to have a chance to relax a bit after our nine day safari and chose to stay here because it is close to the airport. You will be amazed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the delicious food, and the grounds, as the gardens are lovely. You will not be disappointed with choosing this hotel, they even have a nice pool and spa. The only cons were that there is no mini fridge in the room and the WiFi can be a little challenging.”

”I really enjoyed spending time at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and wonderful people to be around. The staff made sure that I had a shuttle to go around town and a safe way to get there, had a secure place to store the remaining luggage, and they made delicious food for breakfast and at the restaurant. I would highly recommend to stay at the Stella Maris Lodge.”

”Truly loved staying here. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the entire property has so much charm and character, beautifully decorated. The staff are amazing! Attentive, kind, and helpful. We returned with badly muddied shoes after a hike of Mt Kilimanjaro and left our shoes on the front porch. To our amazement, we woke up to spotlessly cleaned shoes that were also packed in a travel bag for us. The food was great and very reasonably priced. ”This is probably the nicest hotel in central Moshi for Europeans on their first trip to the region. You have to remember that this is Africa and things don't always work but on balance this is a good safe place to stay. Once lesson for us was we were pretty much the only Europeans in the town, trekkers and safari people tend to stay outside, so be prepared, this is a busy African town not a tourist place”
