”The cottage was perfect for a couple. Kitchen was stocked with useful items to allow cooking and eating on site. Sydney was a great host and communicated with us through the tsunami scare in August 2025. She was even gracious enough to let us have additional family members over during the evacuation, as they were staying at a resort on the coast. The land is lovely, and the story of how she and her husband have rehabilitated it into what it is today is inspiring. Our only minor gripes were...

”Affordable and cozy, with full kitchen, AC, and private yard with Jacuzzi. Nice place for good price.”

”The neighborhood is a nice quiet area, with shops & places to eat within a minute walk. The driveway is a bit tricky, but opens up to a beautiful property with plenty of outdoor space. The house itself was very clean & neat, and the rooms all fit our needs. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed a week! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay off the beaten path but still be able to see everything you want!”

”The chalet was magnificent. It was exactly as the owners stated. Being in the forest was awesome. All your views are of lush plants, some bearing fruit which the owners said we could pick and so many flowering plants. The breezes coming through the house kept it comfortable. Coffee each morning on the deck or upper balcony was a welcome time, seeing the sunrise come over the trees while listening to the birds was a bonus we did not anticipate. The upper balcony provides for a great yoga area....

”Our stay was as expected— which is a great thing! It’s not fancy, but it was an incredible home base in Maui. The air conditioning was definitely a bonus compared to some other places we looked at. One thing to note is that Google maps does tend to take you down one road too soon. We used the bed and the pull out sofa and both were adequate. ”

”We stayed for one night while exploring that side of the island. We loved it!! Avocado trees, banana trees and other lovely plants growing on the property. You can see a peek of the ocean from the lanai and hear the waves. Very clean & well stocked as well! It felt like we were staying over at a family members home. We will be back! ”

”Large property with many friendly animals. Hosts work with Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity and very accessible to talk to. House is in great shape and had everything advertised ”

”Great place to sit and relax after the long drive. Would stay here 2 nights next time. Lots of food trucks nearby, gas station, general store etc. Location is amazing, we watched the sun come up at the beach. Comfy beds and nice lanai(s)”
