I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 am. There were several people stood around, seated at tables and two sleeping on a couch. The internet was down and people had been waiting for 2 hours to check in. I was told by those already waiting it could be 5 am before we could be checked in.
The gentleman at the front desk handled the situation with professionalism. He answered questions as best he could and worked diligently to manually check people in.
Manual check-in involved checking digital reservations, copying numbers down, running off to physically confirm that a room was available, photocopying ID & credit card information and then escorting people to rooms and letting them in with his master key.
He was apologetic and while he could not do anything more than he was doing, I was astounded that other employees were not called in to help with this process.
It was after 3:30 am when I finally was able to access my room and was given a $30 discount.
Gentleman on duty (I’m sorry I didn’t get his name) was an absolute rockstar! The property itself has fallen short for me 2 out of 3 stays.
If I can help it, I won’t stay here again.
