Check In at 3, arrived 4:45, room not ready. Was told 15-20 mins max. Waited 30, was told they were just about to call us and that room was ready to go. Went up to room and it was still not ready, cleaners told us 2 mins but we waited over 10 mins. We were called about 5 mins after we got to the room, I expressed my displeasure and was only told “sorry” over and over. Eventually asked if we could get any sort of discount, was told they would check and call back. Never called back.
Then around 3am, I woke up to 4 bites on my face plus 1 on my arm. Found 3 blood spots on the bedding. Very clearly bed bugs. Spoke to reception, was told to speak to manager in the morning. Went to speak to reception, was told there wasn’t even a manager in until the next morning.
Was told that they weren’t bed bugs and that they were mosquitoes, then told that the blood just “didn’t come out in the washing” or that the cleaners forgot to change the bedding.
Was offered no refunds at all, we only got refunded for the day we didn’t stay and was told they would need to inspect the room before deciding on any refunds. Was told I would receive a call from a manager that evening or the following morning, it’s the following afternoon as of this review and still have not received a call.
Checked into another hotel and the receptionist knew exactly which hotel we stayed at based off our stories and says she receives MANY calls regarding motel 6. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
