”It was all over good but hotel was above the bar which was noisy at night and unpleasant for family stay. Water kittle was not cleaned properly. Towels were not sufficient. Main thing is hotel front desk was another side of the road in an Indian restaurant and restaurant get closed after 8 or 9 pm and no intercom in rooms . It was literally horrifying after getting dark.”

”Scott was a delightful host. The breakfast was a true highlight. The room was cozy and comfortable. The private bath was a welcome amenity! Additionally, his advice on transportation and navigation in and out of the city was invaluable!”

”a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended.”

”Perking easy and off road. Staff friendly at reception. Room and general environment very dated and old. Old brown carpet wrinkled, furniture dark and chipped. Room and bedding clean although shower grouting a bit mouldy. Had the feel of a care home. Bed was comfy. Coffee/tea/kettle and packaged milk provided but had to fill the kettle via a glass as sink too small. Shower lost power for a while on second day but was generally ok. generic soap and shower gel provided, no other products...

”Our biggest disappointment resulted from what we consider to be false advertising. On ebookers the pictures under Argyll guest house are from nice and modern looking rooms, but our room was nothing like them at all. There's the Argyll hotel on the opposite side of the road from the guest house, so our conclusion is that the pictures are actually from the hotel, not the guest house.
