Kuninkaan mökki ~ Hyvin hiljainen Northwoods Retreat

Aikana, jolloin monet lomapaikat ovat liian rakennettuja ja liian täynnä, The King's Cottage tarjoaa täydellisen pakopaikan kauniin Pohjois-Woodsin hiljaisuuden keskellä. Kuninkaan mökki on rakennettu 80 metsäiselle hehtaarille, jotka ovat luontopolkujen ylittämiä ja ympäröivät kahta keväällä syötettyä järveä. Moderni, puupaneloitu mökki nukkuu neljä mukavasti kahdessa makuuhuoneessa, mutta juhlat voivat olla suurempia, jos pari haluaa leiriytyä leirintäalueelle pienemmän järven vieressä.

Kiinteistöllä on tarpeeksi oikeutta täyttää päiväsi. Jos olet tuonut joitain lukemista, saatat tuntea olosi rentoutuvan seulotun kuistilla olevissa keinutuolissa. Haluat ehkä kalastaa bluegillia ja bassoa pienemmän järven soutuveneestä tai suuremman kanootista. Voit halutessasi kävellä metsän läpi tai istua hiljaa näkymäpöydällä. Pidä silmäsi auki villieläimille - hirville, kojootille, punaketulle, majavalle ja karhulle, kuten sirulle ja monille muille lintuille, kutsu tätä kotia! Talvella on hiihto.

Kiinteistön ulkopuolella, puolen mailin kävelymatka vie sinut taimenen kalastukseen Bearskin Creekiin tai Bearskin-pyöräilyreitille. Pinewood Country Club, kahdeksantoista reikäinen golfkenttä ja Dinner Theatre, on kahden mailin päässä. Minocquan, Tomahawkin ja Rhinelanderin kaupat ja ravintolat ovat noin 15 mailin päässä eri suuntiin. We very much enjoyed our stay at The King's Cottage! Everything was very clean and organized, just as described. The kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. Bathroom was a bit tight but nothing we couldn't handle. The books on the shelves were fun to look through! We liked the seclusion of the cabin while we could still be close by neighboring towns if we wanted to venture out to explore or to pick things up if we needed. The Ten Point Bar was also very fun, great food and staff! We did take the canoe out and enjoyed a little jaunt around the lake just down the way from the cabin. Richard was very helpful with the information packet sent to us via mail prior to our arrival, we really appreciated that. Overall I would highly recommend staying at The King and we cannot wait to return to explore some more!

Nice relaxing place

The cabin was very relaxing and quiet/private given its location on a dead end lane. Upon arrival, the cabin was extremely clean which was appreciated. It was nice to have paper products fully stocked and not just "starter" packs. It was a little close quarters getting around in the queen bedroom and in the bathroom, but we managed. The cut wood provided for a campfire was also much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay.

Ideal Scenic Northwoods Setting

I'm very satisfied with the accommodations of King's Cottage. During my recent stay, I visited multiple nearby parks for cross-country-skiing. The wood stove sauna was a great luxury during my stay after my long cross country ski sessions.

Unfortunately my partner and I got sick the week of our trip and never made it to our relaxing cabin getaway. Leading up to our trip, the proprietor Mr. King was helpful, informative and professional. We're sure our stay would have been wonderful.

Kings Cottage

Again we had a wonderful time at the cottage. This was our second year. The stay was peaceful and quiet just what the doctor ordered. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful fairytale like environment that replenishes the soul.

Kings Cottage

The Secluded cottage was well maintained. The property had abundant wildlife to keep us entertained. I would recommend King's Cottage to any one looking for a quiet place to stay. Also, the tourist destinations are only a short drive away.

A little piece of heaven

Absolutely beautiful Northwoods properrty! The forest and lakes here are the perfect getaway to unplug and recharge. The cabin was clean, maintained well, and has all the charm of a cabin up north. Bed was extremely comfortable. Loved hiking the property and surrounding trails. Nighttime bonfires listening to the sounds of nature was the best way to end each day!

Harshaw Cottage

Our stay at this cottage was great. Our entire family enjoyed the stay including our 2 dogs. It was calming and private and beautiful country. I even made a 10 minute video of the lake at 5:30 am with the beautiful scenery and wilderness sounds to play back later at home. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Cosy and serene cottage

Family vacation

The cabin is very clean and cozy and has everything needed for a family of 4 to have a comfortable stay. Our boys are fishing enthusiasts and the front lake provided a lot of entertainment- they caught bass, bluegill, and crappie (once they studied up on how to fish a bog). They also swam. Both lakes on the property are beautiful and very peaceful. We were able to access the back lake ok, but other trails on the property were overgrown and probably better in other seasons of the year. Nearby access to beautiful Bearskin trail was a plus. We also fished with a guide in Minoqua, and had a great time. Fishing from the banks at nearby Rainbow Reservoir was also good. Overall this was a great vacation and we would come again! Only negative: the mosquitos are bad but we were prepared with bug spray.

Very nice location. Cabin is basic, with an old-time feel that we liked. More like 2 standard beds, than a queen and standard bed. There's a futon in the kitchen/living room too.

June stay

Cabin is nice. However property is split by a public road, it’s a dirt road, but it’s not a driveway. It’s pretty dead, but some people run utvs or horses down it. Due to this, we couldn’t let our dogs run as we expected to be able to. When the listing said 80 acres, our assumption was that it was a little bit more isolated. Though it was an assumption…. The lakes are very pretty, and can be used for swimming. However not super great for dogs. They’re essentially on Bogs, so where you get in on the big lake it’s instantly super deep, no 0 foot entry. The smaller lake has a very small area that you can get in, but there’s lots of logs to climb over. I would say the lakes are best suited for simply rowing or paddle boating, we were not able to find any fish in any of them. The listing says bluegill and bass, but we didn’t see any bait fish or anything. Just frogs. The best part of the property is the location. Right between Tomahawk Rhinelander and Minocqua, we were able to make our way to each of those places. Tomahawk for the races, Minocqua for the zoo and horseback riding, and Rhinelander for dinner. Communication was interesting, it was extremely good when I booked the trip, the host even sends you a packet in the mail with information. But when I asked a few questions after our arrival, I didn’t get any communication. I’m assuming there was probably a reason, maybe the host is on vacation himself or maybe there were some other reason.
