I paid over $260 for what was supposed to be a relaxing, handicap-accessible stay for my partner and me. Instead, the experience was a complete letdown from start to finish.
When I first checked in, I found bugs crawling on the bed. I immediately alerted the front desk, who apologized and moved me to another room but that room was not handicap accessible, which defeated the entire purpose of my booking. The heater in that room also made a horrible, nonstop noise that made it impossible to relax.
The staff member came up to check and confirmed he couldn’t fix it, so we were moved yet again to a third room that was even smaller and still not what we originally paid for. At that point, I stayed only because I wanted to make the best of the night.
While I appreciate that the front desk staff tried to help, the overall experience was unacceptable for the price point. No guest should have to switch rooms three times, deal with bugs, or compromise on accessibility. Management needs to take immediate action to address cleanliness, maintenance, and the accuracy of room accommodations.
