”The room smelt musty as did the corridors but this is an old building. The carpets need upgrading to improve it's appearance along with the outside needing a paint job. Food at breakfast was lovely and the bathroom and bedding clean. We did have someone above us walking around and around til about 11pm and again the next morning on creaky floorboards which was annoying. I've stayed in more modern hotels for a lot less but this was booked last minute. Good location for our needs .”

”A unique hotel. The inside, whilst being modern with all the amenities you would expect and more, still maintains a 'castle' feel. The staff were super friendly and attentive and provided sound advice when asked about the local area. A good choice for breakfast, which was excellent. A really fantastic stay.”

”The room and bathroom were lovely, very clean and luxurious. The rooms don't have aircon but fans were provided and even on a warm weekend, it was actually OK. The grounds are beautifully kept with plenty of places to walk. The buffet breakfast was included in our booking and again was very tasty and had a great selection. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and welcoming and gave us some great advice on where to go. We only had breakfast in the restaurant so can't comment on dinner but it...

”There is misleading information on Expedia. The hotel advertises a local cuisine breakfast included, but in reality, breakfast is a basic continental breakfast served in your room. It also advertises a super king bed, but this is actually two single beds pushed together, which was disappointing.
