”Our stay was good and the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Though the hotel applied $100 flat pet fees which is very high and should be mentioned somewhere prior to booking. They also don't have parking space, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy and charge $55 for valet parking. Overall a little inconvenient given the parking situation.”

”The immediate neighborhood is pretty run down (as much of downtown Portland seems to be) and seedy looking but felt safe. It is about a one mile walk to downtown and very near bus and tram lines so transportation was convenient. There is nice courtyard to sit in and read or enjoy a snack of beverage of your own as there is no service. No coffee in room but available in the lobby across the street starting at 6:00 or downstairs (after 8:00). It is actually more like a motel with. exterior...

”All the staff I encountered were really great--super cool and conversational, but the room was a real disappointment. I walked through the door and walked into a wall of stench. It smelled like wet dogs had vacationed in the room. I usually sleep like a rock, but the stink kept me awake for a while. The shower was also not clean. ”

”There was leftover food in our fridge from the previous occupants. The water pressure and shower are incredibly poor You were going to freeze in the shower because it’s barely outputting any water and the bathroom is not sealed from the moon room. I had to hug onto the wall to get clean and spent a lot of time under the water just to make sure every part of me was thoroughly rinsed off with soap. The hotel staff doesn’t lock the soap dispensers on the wall, so they tend to fall off if you bump...

”The restroom are shared with others but they don’t clean them constantly! Restrooms next to my room was horrible dirty during my whole stay and I did bring this up to the front desk!”
