Our room was darling, well appointed with a little sitting area, fireplace and record player including some throw back records that put us in the mood. Bed/bedding was great, good shower pressure and products. Each afternoon we would hang out in the common spaces and firepits and enjoy a glass of wine, 'smores and meeting other travelers. ”Beautifully decorated with hand made quilts. Exceptionally clean. Welcoming space with good storage options for a guest’s traveling items. Comfortable beds. Serene surroundings with woods and flower gardens. Very short drive to John C Campbell craft school. ”

”This property was perfect for my husband and me. We also brought our small dog with us. The weather did not cooperate with us, but we took advantage of the large screened in porch and enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the late afternoon. The Highlands has wonderful restaurants, so make sure you visit them during your stay. Carole the host was wonderful and answered any questions we had. She made sure to inform us about the area and things to do. ”

”This property is a small but well designed and tastefully furnished apartment, attached to the owner’s home. It would be great for a couple or a family with young children.It is located in a small gated community (think privacy and security) right on the Nantahala River. We thoroughly enjoyed watching guided white water rafts go by steps from our front door. It it a peaceful and enjoyable experience and we highly recommend staying here. ”

”Really lovely place. Our kids (14 & 11) absolutely loved the animals. The alpacas, donkeys, goats and chickens were awesome. Kids got to do feedings of the goats and chickens with Collin and had such fun. Collin and Jenn are great communicators. We stayed in the Bobcat cabin and it was fantastic. Very comfortable and so we’ll done up. We even were given fresh eggs that the kids collected at the morning feeding. I can highly recommend Cobb Cabins.”

”The kids walked in and immediately said they wanted to buy a tiny house!! haha! The place was so clean and just perfect for 4 of us. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. We came in the heat of summer and the AC units were nice and cold. The kitchen had everything to cook a small dinner. The shower was so much bigger than I thought it would be. And there was storage everywhere for our bags and clothes. We will be back to see what it is like in the winter and again and again!”

”Our week in Highlands was so enjoyable and Foxglove Flat, although rustic on the outside, is a beautiful space to call home. It was absolutely spotless, comfortable and easy access for my husband with his mobility issues. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to cook. Multiple coffee making options was nice. I was impressed with the quick response I had regarding the shower (operator error on my part) and the notification that bad weather was on its way. We would not hesitate to...

”So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future.”
