Rustic Cedar Waterfront Cabin 8 on Toledo Bend

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Sip coffee on the covered porch and take in the beautiful sunrise on your lakefront view surrounded by Sabine National Forest. Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles, and an Osprey nest atop a 20 ft high tree stump just a quarter mile from shore. Explore nearby coves from our kayaks, jump in the lake from our swimming platform, fish from our piers, or lounge by the campfire. The cabin is inside Mid Lake Campground located on Toledo Bend Lake, one of the premier bass fishing lakes in the country, and we have the best crappie fishing on the lake right below our marina just steps away.

We have staff available to answer any questions as we do not live on site. The manager`s number is in the guest book on the counter.

The store hours vary by season and sell beer, bait, ice, grocery items, gas (including non-ethanol), ice, firewood, picnic items, and much more.

Cabin 8 is located inside Mid Lake Campground, which was built in 1968 with the creation of Toledo Bend Lake. Mid Lake Campground has pull through RV spaces, cabins, and houses. Many of our guests have long term `camps` in the campground; some reside in the campground year-round, while others are winter snowbirds. The campground is very quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbors.

There is parking available for a boat and truck and additional parking is available across the street by the pavilion.

Mid Lake Campground and Cabin 8 is perfectly situated for a great fishing trip, a day on the lake, or total relaxation taking the amazing lake views in the clean country air. You can catch your limit of Crappie right under our boathouse, or visit the famous gator hole only 2 miles away by boat where you just might catch a trophy bass. We are 3 miles to the main lake, and 6 miles to Cypress Bend. Sam Rayburn Lake is about 30 miles.
PET RULES:
1. 2 dogs maximum
2. No aggressive breeds allowed; such as but not limited to: Pit bulls, German shepherds, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Siberian Huskies, Akitas, Mastiffs, Great Danes. If you are not sure, please inquire before booking.
3. Pets must be on a leash when outside and please pick up waste and dispose in garbage can. Please do not leave pets unattended outside at any time.
4. Please keep pets off furniture and beds.
5. Excessive barking or unruly behavior could result in being asked to leave without refund.



House Rules:
1. Please no smoking in the cabin.
2. Please be aware that community Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. This is both a community and a campground, so please be considerate of your neighbors.
3. Please do not turn the AC lower than 72 degrees, as it will freeze the unit. Please call the store asap if you have any issues.
4. Please note all garbage must be in garbage bags. Please do not throw loose trash into the can. We have guys that manually pick up the trash, so everything must be bagged. IF you need more trash bags, please call the store.
5. Please keep pets off the furniture.
6. Please crate pets (if possible) when you are out of the cabin.
7. Pets must be always kept on a leash when outdoors.
8. Please pick up pet waste and discard in garbage.
9. Most importantly, have a great time!
