”The manager was extremely helpful !! 😊 My room was cool enough even though the outdoor temperatures soared to 28 degrees and hotter! Wi-Fi was available and there were a number of channels to choose from on TV. There were cafes and restaurants close by. ”Clean & comfortable bed. Bathroom outdated but clean. Air conditioner worked great and kept the room cool while it was +30c outside. As mentioned in other reviews, visible homelessness in the area however they didn’t loiter about the hotel property and didn’t cause us any problem. It’s a good place to stay for the night if you’re passing through and need something economical.”

”5 stars Aside from the bloodstains on the carpet and the 1 mouse we saw under the fridge, The place was pretty clean and felt pretty safe. The staff were very friendly. There were no bed bugs or cockroaches I figured there were enough spiders in the corners of the room to take care of all those pests, but did a double check just to be safe. ”One thing I noticed with hotels on this trip. The toilet paper is not good quality and from this trips experience, I will bring my own in the future. But everything else was great.”

”The bedding had poop and blood stains and the brown girl at the desk double charged me. They don’t provide breakfast other then juice and coffee and yogurt and the rooms are dated and musty. I grew up in Duncan and moved to Ontario and travel for work but the standard this place had put the bar in hell and you have to limbo under it. 10/10 do not recommend.”

”I had much higher expectations for this hotel. The pictures make it seem much more elegant and private than it really is. On the plus side, it was very clean and the rooms were very large. On the negative side, our room stated we were to have a garden view—we overlooked the parking lot and the many condos surrounding the property. ”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was tastefully updated, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, the bed was comfortable and it was spacious for my wife and me. The shared outdoor space was immaculate and we enjoyed a morning of swimming off the docks and reading in the hammocks. The climate control in the room worked efficiently and quietly. Ed’s coffee shop next door was cute and convenient. Our stay felt like a home away from home. Thanks for a great time!”

”Compared to the price charged for rooms at the major downtown establishments the Port O'Call is a bargain. A comfortable bed, free standing a/c unit and big tv was all we needed. If the motel is fully booked be prepared to not have a parking spot onsite if you arrive later in the evening. However (and management has no control over this) be aware that Terminal Avenue seems to be a popular road for street racers with obnoxiously loud exhaust pipes, both cars and motorcycles.
