”Stepping into this little cottage gave me the sense of being at a family members house. It was comfortable, quaint and familiar. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen could use a little TLC(maybe some shelf liners) and a note to those that like to sleep in...there are only sheer curtains on the bedroom windows, no blinds. I would stay again if ever back in the area.”

”The Blue Door Cottage is a wonderful get-a-way. The guesthouse is warm and inviting. The grounds are beautiful. The pictures on the site are on point. Our family enjoyed walking to see the neighbors' alpaca and horses. Would definitely recommend.”

”This house was perfection! It was bright, clean and comfy. The beds were super comfortable and the front and back porches were inviting. We came from California to visit family in Hickory. It is also perfect for parents/grandparents visiting their your college student at Lenoir Rhyne. Highly recommend! ”

”The floors werent as clean and there was some dust bunnies. The road outside was noisy even during the night. Having a daybed in the living room isn't comfortable sitting. Everything else okay. Weve stayed in many vrbos so our opinion is weighted by others. Great host, though.”

”This little place is wonderful. We had a great time...We are a family of 5, and we all fit comfortably in the home. There is plenty of space for sleeping, and considering that the cottage isn't huge, the daybeds with trundles did not make it feel cluttered or tight. We loved access to the washer and dryer. The retro feel of the kitchen was a major highlight - loved the red fridge! :) Appreciated the coffee...Also liked that there were pans (baking included!) to make snacks like pizza and...

”We stayed for long weekend! It’s three bedrooms and two bathroom with ample space. The house was very clean and appeared newly remodeled. Hosts provided all the necessary items plus a few extra (coffee pods, shampoo and conditioner, etc) Communication with host was quick and helpful! Nice location very near town! Would definitely stay again! ”
