”I think the people were nice. The place was clean. The rooms were good but could use Kleenex in rooms. I’d say the less-than-perfect score is due to the construction workers there. It seems like a group of men live there that work construction and seem to have taken over a bit. They’d hang out outside of their hotel rooms and were somewhat loud. Didn’t make me feel super comfortable. They were fine and no problems but it just felt weird to me. ”

”Last week I had a very pleasant stay at Deer Haven Inn. It's location is at the quiet end of the peninsula, which I appreciate. Very short walk to Asilomar beach. My room had a small fridge and microwave, also a coffee maker. Very clean and very safe. Adequate parking. Nisha, who manned the front desk, is very pleasant and efficient. I love Pacific Grove, and Deer Haven is one of the more affordable options. ”

”Great big clean room. Very good bed. Restaurants near the hotel were surprisingly good! (Thai and Breakfast) Close to the harbor where we saw sea otters and other animals. ”

”Our hotel room had tons of MOLD in the shower and in the room with wall paper peeling off exposing more mold. We couldn't even stay there because one of us in the group were allergic to mold and we did not even get a refund. ”

”We stayed there two nights during our roadtrip. The hotel was quite nice. We had to be in contact to the hotel beforehand several times, since the reception closes already at 5pm. The rooms were spacious but a bit worn out, our friends bathroom door was stucked, but luckily the staff was still there when it happened. There was an odd moldy odour in the room. Otherwise the location was good, near the ocean and Monterey and the center of Pacific Grove can be easily reached by bus or by car. ”

”Property is being improved. Our mattress was good, the little refrigerator worked fine and the AC/heater worked fine. We rented two rooms for ourselves and my son with two of his daughters. Great location and excellent value compared to the cost of surrounding hotels.”

”I booked this hotel for scuba diving. It’s right next to San Carlos Beach. It’s a prime location in Cannery Row and within walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores. The room is spacious and clean. There was guest parking with additional fee. Overall it was pretty good for a 2-star hotel. I’m happy with the stay.”
