”Hotel is remodeling and removing soft browns, tans, cream colors to be replaced by stark white cold harsh white walls and dystopian gray trim, and dystopian grey carpeting with heavy heavy new carpet chemicals. They removed the on-site Chef for breakfast and now have a pretty stark breakfast. I don't know for sure, but it seems like a corporation took over and removed all the personality. I will not be staying at this newly remodeled place again. I will miss the old motel..”

”Decent room. No coffee maker, no hair dryer. Train went by at 1:30 am and woke me up. Person above me never stopped banging things and stomping back and forth... literally all evening and from 2:30am on. Will not stay here again. Disappointed.”

”we were upgraded to a room with a kitchinette--a pleasant surprise. when we arrived in the room there was a dental pick on the floor--gross! Also, it was not great to step outside of the building and seeing a staff person in her uniform vaping. Food was okay.”

”If you are looking to not perhaps pay as much for The Lodge, this absolutely should be on your radar. The team, rooms, location, breakfast, all the things hit the mark. While I think the remotes likely need to be replaced (as we got the batteries replaced on day 2), due to many thumbs aggressively finding the right channel, that’s still not dropping the 5 STAR rating. We will be back and also for the location, both for walkable options and also a nice river walk, can’t go wrong.”
