”This hotel is brand new and beautiful. The color scheme is soothing and tasteful. Our room was so comfortable. The fitness room had everything I needed for a great workout and cardio. It was near lots of restaurants.”

”The perfect stop over on a long drive south. I arrived very late and the charming proprietor was ready with a friendly greeting to give me a clean, hospitable, safe place to rest. The room was fresh, well-taken care of, and newly renovated. I was able to park just outside my room so bringing bags inside was an easy accomplishment. The hotel was quiet and an easy place to get a good night’s rest. ”

”I stay for the convienence to friends and have stayed at this Red Roof several times. Pet friendly. Place is clean and well lit. Only downside is that they need to keep up with maintence. I found the toilet seat very worn and missing mount pad. AC units do not seem to remove humidity from the room and settings would not accept what was put in. ”

”The hotel is pretty new, shower pressure is strong, rooms are clean, staff was kind and patient. I really appreciate a hydration station, as many hotels always have ice, but impossible to find water for some reason in the middle of the night. Overall, pretty impressed by it. Parking is nearby and not too out of the way. The shops nearby are good for immediate needs for food and such. ”

”I was not told there was a pool. Staff just checked me in and did not say anything else to me. Inside was good. No bugs. The bathroom ceiling has peeling paint and the floor by the sink was filthy. At checkout, I was not asked how my stay was. Oh and the walls are very thin, that is all I will say, you get the idea...”

”It’s an older, renovated property. It’s perfect for someone that needs a place to lay for a night or 2. Staying there longer would be uncomfortable. Must enjoy stairs as there is no elevator. Ice machine wasn’t working so we would’ve had to see the tweaker working the desk. ”

”Room was clean and well appointed, breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt... nice room, clean, great location for travel, and VERY economical. 100% will stay again.”

”Staff were amazing, stay was good at first until the next couple of nights when more people with kids checked in. Walking, running, stomping above our room was horrible. Front desk was notified and the group was asked by staff to be more respectful, unfortunately it didn’t work it just made it worse. Front desk offered to move us but it would be to a smaller room. We ended up declining the offer as we’ve already settled and hubby refused to move all of our stuff again. Location was okay,...

”Friendly staff. Comfortable bed, good complimentary breakfast. Breakfast lady was very nice, kept the buffet well stocked and found me a banana-thank you! We usually stop in Gardendale but after our last visit there ( a disappointment) decided to drive into Athens. So glad we did. The Hampton Inn did not disappoint. Right off the interstate and close to the infamous Buc-ees. ”

”Evidently the rooms had recently been renovated, so they are in good shape. The shower was strong and invigorating. The breakfast was good (biscuits were hard, though). The major knock on the place is that the layout is old-school, that is, the rooms all open to the outside - no interior hallway. We’ve had bad experiences with motels configured like this, so we were a little tentative in staying here. However, no issues occurred during our stay!”
