”Visiting Clarkes is like stepping back in time. The architecture of the building makes such a refreshing change from the modern hotels of concrete, glass and over the top air conditioning. Our room was lovely and was beautifully furnished and the public areas of the hotel were also thoughtfully presented. Although some people might find it a little formal, the staff were friendly and polite without exception. We would stay there again without hesitation.”

”Good location, private Ghat, good service. Have stayed earlier and experience has been great always. However I have one suggestion that since many people visit Haridwar due to holding prayers , hotel should look at feasibility of this offering check in time of 15:00 hrs and check out time of 13:00 hours”

”Three night stay but I wish it had been longer. The property is full of character and immaculately furnished. Our room was incredibly spacious and the view from the terrace was magnificent, watching the sunset was a joy. However, the best thing of all was the service received. The entire team were wonderful. The meals were absolutely delicious (both breakfast and dinner were exquisite) and the servings very generous. Located a five minute walk from the main road, so quiet but easily accessible...

”The view was great. The description of the hotel is wrong. Access is only for backpackers. Wheelchair is a joke. Taxis are not allowed closer than 200 m and from there it is steap up. In winter you even cannot be sure of that. We had to go approx. 1km on a slippery road. Taxis did not dare go there. The hotel is not suitabel for use in low temp. We had reserved 2 nights but left after 1 night. - still cold as ice.”

”The Hotel has become quite old. There were water droplets on walls due to moisture. They dont provide stool to sit while bathing. which is must for elders. The AC is centralized but time to time it is not effective in cooling. only plus points are big room, hotel is in the main market. all ghats are within walking distance. so recommending this hotel to all”

”The hotel is at a good location and the new building is great besides the restaurant too is wonderful with great food and wonderful live music. The worry is if you get a regular room you will get a stale room with bed sheets and walls very stale. Pls only consider new building not the heritage (old wing) ”
