”The staff here is awesome! We've stayed several times and they're always courteous, helpful, friendly, and do whatever they can to help. The rooms are clean and they do their best to maintain the property. It's older, so though it may have some quirks because of age, I rate it pretty highly for a budget motel. (And our cats love the rooms!)”

”Truth be told they were bugs. Bugs of all kinds that hid out and were under paintings, the microwave, and in the bathroom. The main blankets were dirty and had cigarette burn holes in them. The walls are chipped and coming apart and the floor was dirty. The bed was creaky and the carpet that was there was sticky and dirty. It was not a great experience. ”

"My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."
