”Looks like they had the grand opening too soon. Rehab doesn’t seem complete. Lights and TV haphazardly hung on walls. Plugs not connected. There is not a single hook for a towel or travel kit in bathroom. AC is still an original wall unit and is incredibly loud. Overall, an average hotel at best.”

”Our stay at Tru by Hilton Lake Charles was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Great parking space and convenient. It made our anniversary getaway even more comfortable and enjoyable while we soaked in that beautiful bayou view. I definitely recommend this location and don’t always go by negative reviews, pray about it and see for yourself.”

”The air condition in my room was leaking on the carpet. I could smell the mildew when I walked in but the air freshener the hotel staff used covered it up the first couple of hours.”

”The rooms were clean. Overall pleasant stay. The only negative is the entire hotel smells of smoke and could smell it on our clothes when we got home but that's to be expected I guess in a casino. Not sure why smoking is ok in a casino but not any other building interior. ”

”We stayed in the handicap room. The shower/bath was a marvel of plumbing complexity but the shower didn't work. There was a lever to direct the water either to the tub or the shower and once up to the shower there was another lever to direct the water to either a wand or the fixed shower head. The first lever, the one for either tub or shower would allow water into the tub but when switched to the shower setting the water flow just stopped. The lever to direct water to either the wand or...
