”A true log cabin with air conditioning and a kitchen. The only issue I had was the lack of a sink in the bathroom. Because the original cabin was very old, it had dropped in one corner so the floor was sloped which was a little disorienting. Despite being pet friendly, It was pretty clean and the location in Shawnee National Forest was ideal for hiking.”

”We really enjoyed this unique property as we explored southern Illinois and western Kentucky. This house had everything we needed. Spacious bed, step-in shower, fast wi-fi, kitchen, and patio. It was close to the water and some shopping. The communication with the host was excellent. ”

”The cabin is quaint and designed like a tiny house. There was a queen bed in the loft. The stairs to the loft were actual stairs. It was easy to climb up. The ceiling was high in the miiddle so we could stand. The bathroom had a good shower without walls. So plenty of room. I think it would be beautiful in the fall. Cicadas were singing and flying around. We had a good time. We would recommend it to others.”

”Ive been down to Shawnee a few times for the New Year but this was our first stay (but hopefully not the last) at this great cabin. It was a great location - minutes from Garden of the Gods and close to our other favorite hikes in the Bell Springs area. The cabin itself was clean, with a nice kitchen, 2 nice bathrooms (with plenty of hot water) and bedrooms and fun stuff for the kiddos (my daughter loved the air hockey table). The hot tub was a real treat after a day of hiking in the cold....

”Absolutely gorgeous property right on the Ohio River. So peaceful. Lots of great hiking nearby. What a treat to sit out on the spacious deck and relax. Hot tub and fire pit were a huge plus. House is spacious and very comfortable. We would love to come back.”
